The Exile Mountain

 

Introduction

• This is one of 5 dungeons in the Mountain of Exiles dungeon series.
• The boss is Deschamps
• 2,808 Billions HP
• Type: Demon Humanoid

Protective Aura Pattern

• Upon entering the room, there will be an gold aura next to Deschamps.
• The aura will follow whoever closest to it.

• There are ice bugs flying around the room, causing freeze and damage other party members, which can be very annoying.

• The member with the gold aura can clear those bugs, making the fight smoother.
• It's recommended that everyone fight within this gold aura.

• Deschamps can also spawns a huge wave of bug in the room, the person with gold aura can protect everyone from them.

Main Groggy Pattern

• Deschamps pushes everyone, and there will be a big yellow circle. This circle will shrink overtime.
• You will see golden stars above all members that don't carry the aura.

• Light bugs will start approaching the circle, only the person with the Protective Aura should go outside the circle and kill these bugs.

• If the light bug end up entering the circle, it will shoot itself quickly across the map.
• Don't worry too much, it can be dodged by carefully timed jump.

• Note that if you don't have the Protective Aura, and you go outside of the circle, you will start generating ice pillars, which can interrupt the fight. Please note that if the progress bar fills up while you're outside the circle, you will lose 1 of the "golden star" (the one on top of the players who don't have the aura). If you lose all the stars (e.g. 3 stars for a 4-men party), you will fail gimmick.

• Occasionally, there will be a dark crystal aura spawned through the room. Breaking 2 of these will generate 30-sec groggy.

 

• In case you fail the pattern, you can also dodge the AoE attack by 

Strategy

• The Protective Aura is the key, it's recommended that the buffer takes the aura and protects the whole party while others dealing damage.
• Since activating groggy can take a long time, you can purposely fail the pattern by letting the person without the Protective Aura goes outside the circle (e.g. force losing all golden stars). Even though the pattern fail, everyone can easily dodge it with .
