  • In a nutshell, enchantment is basically adding extra stat to your gears.
  • There are 12 equipment slots and countless enchants. This articles outline how to enchants and recommendation on which one to use.
Table of Contents
Basic Concepts

  • Enchants are extra stats for your equipment. You can see them as green lines on the item.
  • Enchantment comes in two forms: Monster cards and beads.
  • Monster Cards:
    • Monster cards can be looked up through "DFOpedia". In this window, you can sort the cards by slots and type of enchantments.
    • They require enchanter shop to apply the stat, more on that later.
  • Beads: on the other hand does not require an enchanter shop to apply.
    • Card can be turned into bead through enchanter profession.
    • They are basically a more expensive version of monster card.
    • For the most part as new player or returning players, most people don't really pay for beads. They are much more expensive and not worth it.
    • It's in your best interest to use cards, with some exceptions of course.
How to Apply Enchant
  • For cards, you need to find an enchanter shop. They can be found looking like this.
  • After opening the shop, select the equip (1) and the card (2).
  • Click "Enchant" (3), it will ask for some materials depends on the equipment, then click "Confirm" (4). That's it.

How to Upgrade Cards
  • Upgrading your card will increase its stat and will require other cards with the same rarity as material.
  • For example: in order to upgrade a legendary card, you need to use other legendary cards to upgrade it.
  • You can check how many time a card can be upgraded by looking at the top right corner.
  • You can upgrade your card through NPC Abello.
  • Talk to the NPC to open the "Upgrade Card" window.
    • (1) is where you put the card you want to upgrade.
    • (2) (3) (4) are the material cards needed to upgrade your target card. The more cards you put in these slots, the higher chance your upgrade be successful.
    • (5) is the stats your card will gain with every upgrade.
  • Yes, upgrade card is also RNG, the more cards you used as material, the higher the chances. As an example below, one card is medium chance (1), two cards is high chance (2), and three cards will guarantee the card upgrade (3).

How to Obtain Cards
  • The majority of the time, you get end game cards through raids or killing the corresponding monster in dungeon. For example, "Awakened Wujo Card" can be dropped by killing "Awakened Wujo" in "Basement of Pain" dungeon.
  • Beside that, you can get cards through "Card Binding" and "Card Compounding". Both are very similar. You can check if a card can be obtain through either of these 2 ways by looking at the writing at the bottom.
    • "Card Binding Device" means card binding (duh).
    • "Card Crafting" means card compounding.
Card Binding
  • Binding cards require binding devices. You can get those through "Tower of Dazzlement" dungeon in "Valley of the Fallen Souls" and NPC Simona.
  • Then open the device and start throwing your cards in there. The more cards you use, the higher chance you get the next grade card (up to unique grade).

Card Compounding
  • Very similar to using the binding devices, but here you use NPC Abello.
  • The more cards you use, the higher chances of getting the next grade card (up to unique grade)

Type of Class and Damage
  • Your class and damage determine which enchants you should get. There are 5 common types:
    • Physical Percent Class
    • Physical Fixed Class
    • Magical Percent Class
    • Magical Fixed Class
    • Buffers/Saders (e.g. Male Crusader, Seraph, Enchantress)
  • For non-sader class, you can tell which group you are by looking at your skills. For example:
    • (1) indicates the skill is physical damage
    • (2) indicates the skill is magical damage.
    • (3) You can see the percent sign indicates percent damage.
    • (4) You just see the number, no percent sign, indicates fixed damage.
  • For your convenience, click this Class Stats excel sheet to see which one you are.

Which Enchant to Use
  • For non-buffers:
    • Priority 1: All benefit from critical chances. Priority these enchants before everything else.
    • Priority 2: All benefit from elemental damages. They trump Physical/Magical/Independent Attack.
    • Lastly, for Percent classes, you get most benefit from "Physical/Magic Attack" and "Strength/Intelligent" enchants, with attack as priority. For Fixed classes, you get most benefit from "Independent Attack" and "Strength/Intelligent" enchants, with attack as priority.
  • For buffers:
    • Seraph/Enchantress: Benefits from Intelligent enchants. Get as much as you can.
    • Male Crusader: Benefit from Vitality/Spirit. Either one is fine, he has passive that equalize both stats.
  • For your convenience, click each gear slot below to be directed to the list of respected recommended cards/beads (Non-sader only). For sader classes, go here.
