DFOArchive: Azure Main Made Simple

This is a new advance dungeon dungeon in level 115 Cap. This post will only go over briefly how this dungeon works. For full and complete information, visit this Season 10: The New Wave post.

General Approach

The dungeon Azure Main is a mission to defeat the Horn Beast Kraken and reclaim the mothership. You will head to Azure Main via the Cruel Beast.

The Horn Beast Kraken roams around Azure Main and intervenes in battles, but depending on the situation, you can use the Kraken's attacks to your advantage to conquer the dungeon.

In Cruel Beast, you must help the friendly NPC 'Rayron the Maleficence Slayer' and the interception team to destroy the Kraken and parasites that attacked Cruel Beast. Defend against the parasites approaching Raylon and destroy all of the Kraken's tentacles to enter Azure Main.
There are three key institutions in Azure Main: the 'Arsenal', 'Wheelhouse', and 'Deck'. Two random institutions among the core institutions are occupied by 'Anchoring Huleez' and 'Struggling Meliona' respectively.
Once you defeat both 'Anchoring Huleez' and 'Struggling Meliona', you can enter the engine room.
The dungeon will be cleared when the Sonic Boom Crassimor & Horn Beast Kraken occupying the engine room are defeated.

When clearing the core organ of Azure Main, you get recapture buff. The 'Wind of Swiftness' buff is obtained when clearing Cruel Beast.
The acquired organ recapture buff will be automatically activated when the 'Horn Beast Kraken' is groggy.

When the Recapture Buff is activated, the companions provide different beneficial effects.

Bombing	Arsenal	Raylon, who has reclaimed the armory, supports the user. - Fires a giant harpoon to attack the Kraken. - Reduces the Kraken's health.
Gear Acceleration	Wheelhouse	Nerimo, who reclaimed the wheelhouse, supports the user. - Party members' attack power increases. - Attack power increases by 30% .
Emergency Supply	Deck	Aruz, who has reclaimed the deck, supports the user. - Cooldown of party members is reduced. - Cooldown is reduced by 50%.

Anchoring Huleez

Chains are formed around the map. If left unattended, it turns into anchor that can deal damage. You will see yellow damage area tracking you. Guide this to the chains so that Kraken's tentacle can destroy the chains.

Berserk pattern: Count down and 6 stack count appears on the map. use Kraken's Tentacles to destroy 6 chains (the one with purple). You get groggy if success.

Note: After Huleez is defeated, another yellow damage area will appear. Guide this to a chain and it will trap Kraken so you can continuously deal damage. Afterward, there's a room wide damage, stay in the green shield.

Struggling Meliona

Meliona casts wide attacks around the room. Each attack will fill up a constellation above her. If you manage to let the tentacle hit Meliona, the constellation will turn from blue to purple. Fill up all 5 purple constellation will give you groggy.

If you let Meliona keep filling up blue constellation, she will do room wide attack that you can't dodge. It's not a K.O. pattern but can be annoying.

Meliona doesn't have neutralization gauge, but she has hold immunity count. It's possible to abuse the holding. However, if you hold her too long, she will release yellow constellations that will turn blue. When hold her even longer after this stage, she will release the hold and immediately activate room wide attacks (as described earlier)

When Meliona is defeated, similar to other bosses, you can get a chance to deal damage to Kraken though attacking the tentacles.

Sonic Boom Crassimor

Crassimor often do a room wide ground slam om the map. Time the cast bar and jump appropriately.

Crassimor marks a player and rush to them. This pattern will have Kraken attacking as well. You need to make sure you're leading Crassimor to the tentacle on the opposite side of where Kraken is.

Here's an example of leading Crassimor to the wrong side. You will not have safe zone to dodge Kraken's attack.

Crassimor and Kraken knocking you down while doing attacks room wide. Use Quick Rebound to dodge.

Horn Beast Kraken

Remember that if you defeat Anchoring Huleez and Struggling Meliona, you get to deal damage to Kraken beforehand.
Once you defeat Sonic Boom Crassimor, he will help you fight Kraken. Here continue to attack the target marks on the map to reduce Kraken's health.
