Hitting Crit Cap: Level 100 Legendary Dungeons Made Easy

  • So you followed my gear progression guide but still got wrecked in Legendary dungeons. Does it take you 8 minutes and 3 life tokens to clear?
  • This beginner guide aims to take your time down to sub 2 minutes and potentially zero life tokens by showing you ways to increase critical chance, along with other tips to increase your damage while using my Male Mechanic as an example.

Critical Cap
  • Critical rate differs when in town and in dungeon. The best way to know your critical rate is to go to Training Center in Hendon Myre. Once in, just cast your buff still and see what the crit rate is.
  • For example: While in town, my crit rate is 76.6%. In training center, my crit rate is 96.6%. With my buff skill, it's 100.6%, which is plenty.

Ways to Hit Critical Cap
  • There are 4 equipment slots that can give you Critical Chance through enchantment: Head/Shoulder, Beat, Shoes, and Sub Equipment. With proper Enchants, you can get up to 22% Critical Chance increase.
  • With new players, for Head/Shoulder, Beat, Shoes I used Noblesky Green Bijou Bead , which gives 5% magical crit chance for each slot (aka. +15%). For Sub Equipment, I used Noblesky Blue Bijou Bead , which gives me 2% magical crit chance. So in total, I got 17% through enchants.
  • Avatars and Emblems are another great source of Crit Chance. Here you can get Crit from Red and Green Emblems. Below are my example:
    • For Red Emblem slots, I used multi-colored Rare Red-Green (Int + Magic Cri) . Each one gave me 1.1% crit. Therefore   are 4.4% Crit.
    • For Green Emblem slots, I used Rare Green (Magic Cri) . Each one gave me 2.2%. Therefore   are 8.8%. I used those rare green for the aura  too, so that's another extra 4.4% for a total of 13.2%
    • On top of that, the Aura itself  gave me an extra 10%.
  • Other source you can look out for are Pet and Tittle. For my example, the Pet  gave me 5%, and the Title  gave me 3%.
Other Damage Increase Tips
  • Use appropriate Enchants on other equipment slots. This part depends on the class you're playing. DFO classes can be divided into 4 damage categories:
    • Fixed Physical - so look for Independent Att and/or Strength cards/beads
    • Fixed Magical - so look for Independent Att and/or Int cards/beads
    • Percent Physical - so look for Physical Weapon Att cards/beads
    • Percent Magical - so look for Magical Weapon Att cards/beads
  • Really the easiest way to know which one is your class is though the DFO class roles Excel Sheet. Here's an example of what I used for my Male Mechanic. NOTE: Always use Elemental Damage when you can, those trump other damage type.
    • Grim Seeker Fighter  for   (Weapon Magical Attack)
    • Officer Mercel  for    (Elemental Damage)
    • Hound Cyrus  for  (Elemental Damage)
    • Anje Wane for  for  (All Stat)
    • Heat Researcher Zadracon  for  (Elemental Damge)
  • For your convenience, I have indexed the recommended enchants for each equipment slots.
  • Reinforcement/Refinement on weapon is another huge damage boost. 
    • For Percent Class, Reinforce the weapon (+10 should be enough)
    • For Fixed Class, Refine the weapon (+6/+7 should be enough)
  • Insignia is another easy way.
    • Fixed Physical, use  Perfect Insignia of Punishment 
    • Fixed Magical, use  Perfect Insignia of Spirit
    • Percent Physical, use  Perfect Insignia of Protection
    • Percent Magical, use  Perfect Insignia of Blessing
  • Gems to go along with your insignia
    • One     (element type of your choice)
    • One   (physical/magical crit)
    • The other 2 slots can be whatever, usually hit rate and attack speed
  • Where can I get them? The easiest way is to joint a guild, then you only need to log in weekly to get Guild Coin . Then walk to the Guild Hideout, talk to the NPC to buy your goods.
  • Swap Set is also huge, NEVER forget about them. You can get your set from Operation: Hope dungeon. You can read more in this Swap Set: The Essential Tool for Damage post.
  • Cube contract is absolutely a must. You need to make your weapon inflict an element to DO elemental damage and Level 100 legendary/unique weapon can't do that. Therefore you will need , which can be bought with gold in Cera shop (500,000  for 7 days). 
    • Once you get the contract, you can select the type of element inflict you want by clicking on the cube in your "Material" tab in your inventory. When you see a color cube at the bottom, you're good to go.
  • Automated Player Characters (APCs) is one of the last resort if you really need to. These are synergy classes that can give you damage boost. They're very cheap and can be bought from auction hall. The common ones are Number 28  and Soldoros .
