Blood Drinking Banya

 
Introduction

• Banya is 1 of 3 Followers in Black Purgatory dungeon.
• Lot of his summons resemble the Citadel boss from Mountain of Exiles.
• You will face Banya if you take Destroyed Village or Dark Knight routes, you may find him in APC rescue if he intrude.
• Type: Demon

Common Pattern

• Same as all the bosses in DFO, he will give you warning before the attacks.
• Just stay out of the lighted area. Example below.

Yellow Summon Pattern

• This yellow always have suction pattern.
• You will also see red swamps going toward the middle as well.
• To dodge, stay away from the swamps and lighted spots.
• This pattern will repeat 3 times.

Blue Summon Pattern

• He summons a blue creature with a health bar on top.
• You also see a red line connect you and Banya. He will periodically charge toward you.
• To create groggy, you need to damage the blue creature enough, then draw Banya toward it. Think of it like the car pattern with Direct Hitter Wordsworth from Pandemonium War dungeon.
• NOTE: The creature has some simple patterns as well, they are easy to dodge (e.g. shock wave)

All Color Summon Pattern

• Banya jumps to the middle and spawns 4 orbs around him.
• He then casts 3 patterns that correspond to the color of the orb. Examples below.
• Blue: Creates a big ripple that spreads on the floor.
• Yellow: Creates a suction effect on the orb above Banya's head
• Red: Creates tornado then exploded in the map.
• Green: Creates warning line horizontally above and below the map, then green summon rushes along the map. 

• The order of his pattern is the order you need to push the orbs.
• He will cast this 3 times. The 1st one only have 2 patterns, whereas the 2nd and 3rd time will have 3 patterns.
• Successful pattern 3 times will generate groggy. If push order is wrong, all the orbs will regenerate.
• Example 1: He casts yellow suction pattern first, then green pattern where a creature charges from right to left. Hence you push the yellow orb first then green orb.

• Example 2: He casts yellow suction, then green creature, then red tornados. Therefore orb order is yellow > green > red.

• NOTE: The green and red pattern can be tricky because they are hard to tell which one come first. If you're unsure, the orbs should respawn for you to try again.

Strategy

• Banya patterns are not too hard, and he has plenty of groggy opportunities.
• The tricky part is the green and red pattern. It will take some practice to get used to.
