Tiamat of Despair

 

Introduction

• Tiamat is 1 of 3 Dark Knights in Black Purgatory dungeon.
• You will face Tiamat if you take Dark Knight routes, you may find him in Destroyed Village or APC rescue if he intrude.
• Type: Demon

Orb Matching Pattern

• He jumps to the middle and gives everyone an orb. All orbs have different pattern.
• You then start seeing the same 4 orbs approaching him from the corners.
• Your job is to find the orb that matches your orb and push it out. Do this 3 times will generate groggy.

Trapped Cocoon Pattern

• He summons cocoons around the room and trap 2 members in them.
• When you hit the cocoon you will star see which color it is. There are 3 colors: Red, Blue, and Green.
• The Green ones are your trapped party members. Blue are the ones you need to destroy to cancel the pattern. If any Red one got destroyed, you fail the pattern and take KO hits.

Cocoon Path Pattern

• Similar to previous pattern, but here you can't hit the cocoons.
• The spawned cocoons will have poisonous area around them that inflict heavy damage.
• You will see red line connected between all members. You need to coordinate and draw a path for Tiamat so that he will dash through all 4 cocoons.
• When the progress bar fills up, your path will be fixed and you can no longer change it.

Strategy

• There's not any strategy to defeat Tiamat beside doing sustain damage.
• When drawing the path, you should have plenty of time. Also it doesn't matter which way Tiamat start at, as long as he goes through all the cocoons, you should be good.
