  • This is the place where you can farm your Synergy Epic Sets.
  • Here I'll simplify everything for you, how to farm gear, how many materials needed, which set to get, how boss patterns work, and many more.
Table of Contents
Basic Principles
  • Aeterna provides 2 type of gear: Aeterna Exclusive gears and Synergy gears.
    • Exclusive gears will only work while you're in Aeterna area. When you're out side of the continent, it wouldn't work so you're basically wearing nothing.
    • Synergy gears will work when you're outside of the continent. They works like sader enchants, where when you're soloing you get a set of stat, and when you're in a party of 2 or more you get a different set of stat.
  • Aeterna apply a debuff, making gear outside of the area weakened. Here your full level 100 epics will pretty much as strong as common white Aeterna gear. You won't make it far.
How to Farm Gear
  • I have made a post with complete information about the materials drop from when Aeterna was first released in Korea.
  • But basically, every mob you kill will drop materials, and you use them to craft stronger and stronger gear. Regular mob will drop some materials, boss normal mode will drop another materials, and boss hard mode will drop another type of materials. Below are some simple tables and slides to help you look up which materials drop where.
  • This one is for basic mob drops, click on each one to see the area they will drop.
  • This one is Boss drops in normal mode and hard mode.
  • This one is the Hard boss essence drops and the time of the hour they will spawn.

What Materials For What Gear
  • Below are tables showing materials for Uncommon, Rare, Unique, and Legendary Aeterna Exclusive Gears (source).
  • And here is the cost of Synergy Boxes and upgrading to epic tier.
What the Timeline Look Like
  • Here's an example of what a full Synergy gear character look like. Most of them will have 8 piece epic + 3 Bloody Sheen (with 1 being Dark Dimension piece, usually the Top piece).
  • Now let's walk you though the entire process. First, you start with just common white gears. Then you farm the appropriate materials to upgrade that gear to Uncommon, then Rare, then Unique.
  • After hitting Unique tier, you will need to hunt Boss HARD mode to upgrade them further. Also make sure your Aeterna Explorer level is at least 50.
  • At this point, you have 2 options. Either (1) you upgrade your unique further to Aeterna Exclusive legendary, or (2) you try to craft Synergy legendary boxes and open them for random pieces looking for the set you want.
  • Luckily you can do both. Exclusive Legendary will only requires Hard boss materials, whereas Synergy Legendary Boxes only require Boss Essence.
  • You can craft up to 80 Synergy Legendary Boxes per week, so go ham.
  • If you get the Synergy legendary piece of the set that you want, you can craft the Fused Essence to upgrade them to Epic tier.
  • For the Legendary pieces that you don't want, you can dissemble them for 100  each. 600  will get you 1  Legendary Synergy Selection Box.
  • After getting the 8 wanted epic pieces, you can farm the remaining 3 Bloody Sheen and then lastly the Dark Dimension upgrade.
Which Set to Pick
  • I did a complete review of all Synergy Epic Set. Short version, either Tyrant or Scarecrow would be good because the synergy effects are super easy to activate.
  • If you're doing this strictly for soloing contents, it doesn't matter which set you pick. By clicking through each set, every stat and modifiers are the same. They only differ when you're in party.
How Many Alts
  • I did a post about How I Plan To Farm Aeterna Synergy Epics including all the math in there.
  • Short version, I'm planning to have 10 characters to farm this content daily, that should be enough to craft one 11-epic set per week for my Solo Fighter Online career.
Boss Mechanics

Changelog
  • 1/2/22: Updated spawn time for hard bosses. They used to last for only 10 mins, now it's 20 mins.
