DFOArchive: [Korea] Season 7 Act 13: The Continent of Aeterna

New area Aetherna was released in test server on February 24th, 2021.
In this area, you will fight and collect materials to craft new synergy equipment and possibly fusing them to your Sirocco slots.

New Continent: Aetherna

This continent consists of 4 main big areas, and each location is unlocked based on your exploration level (not the same as your explorer club level). Progression in this area is account bound.
While in this continent, you're cursed and your equipment from other area (aka level 100 epics) will be weak here. Therefore you need to use stuff from this region.

After completing new quest line, you can enter this area through "Control Panel" or through "Special Channel"

Combat System

Quite simple really, each dot on the map is a region with a type of mob.
When you do basic attack against a mob, you're teleported into a map where you can kill and gather your materials.

Normal mobs drop simple materials and can be found throughout the continent. Entering each will cost 4 FP. Boss will cost 15 FP (Normal) and 30 FP (Hard).
You can only solo normal mob and normal Boss. With Hard boss, you can enter up to 4 people party and will need to be at least Expedition level 50. Sader in Hard boss will have their buff strength at 10% capacity. Clearing Hard boss will give you special reward (max 3 per day).
You have 3 mins to clear normal dungeon, and 8 mins to clear boss dungeon.

Bosses will spawn during a specific time of the hour, and the system will notify you which boss will spawn. Some example of bosses below.

Reward Materials

The rewards for killing mob/boss are materials, which are used to craft various equipment.
The whole map is 4 sections based on Exploration level, but there are 5 areas. Each area gives specific rewards and drops specific materials.

Universal Drop: Guardian Deity's Coin, these are basic material from pretty much every mob, higher levels will drop more.

And here're the location of each special rewards. Bosses spawn in a 10-minute increment.
For Example: At 1700, Kurkra Hard spawns from 1700~1710, Agnat spawns from 1710~1720, and so on.

Aetherna-Related Equipment

Crafting Aetherna-related items will require real-life wait time. In the beginning you can only craft 2 items at a time, but 3rd slot and 4th slot will be unlocked at Exploration Rank 30 and 50 respectively.
Aetherna Equipment can only be used in Aetherna Continent.
Synergy Equipment can be disassembled, texture changed, inherited, and engraved.
Synergy Equipment can be fused with Sirocco Equipment and Modified (Bottom, Ring, Sub Equipment)

Aetherna Equipment Production

These are your basic equipment to use through the different areas.
Stronger Bosses will require you to craft stronger grade equipment using previous grade.
To craft up to Legendary-rank Aetherna Equipment, you will require the previous rank Equipment as a material. (Common > Uncommon > Rare > Unique)

Synergy Equipment Production

This equipment differ from Aetherna in a way that they provide synergistic effect when used in party. Note that only one member can apply these synergy effect, so there's no point of accepting more than 1 person with synergy equipment. Sader classes do not activate these effects.
The synergy equipment consists of a total of 11 parts, and there are 4/8/11 set options for each set. Synergy Equipment can be disassembled, texture changed, inherited, and engraved.
Synergy equipment production has a 100% chance of success, and you can have a chance of getting Epic synergy equipment.
Legendary Synergy Equipment can be produced through essences obtained by hard bosses, and can be obtained as a special reward.

Craft a random Synergy Special Equipment, 2 hours to craft, max 20 crafts per week.
Require 1 and 500 .

Fused Ambitious Essence
- Upgrade Legendary Synergy Special Equipment to Epic, 2 hours to craft
- Require 12 , 3 , and 3,000 .

Synergy Equipment Fusion

Synergy Equipment can be fused with Sirocco Equipment and Modified (Bottom, Ring, Sub Equipment). You can see the piece's option in this Excel Page. I'm not sure what option it gives on the weapon though.
Fusion will require 50 and 10 .

Expedition UI

(1) Explorer Rank: This outlines the rewards you get for reaching certain levels.
(2) Crating: This is where you can craft your Aetherna & Synergy equipment.
(3) Request: I'm not sure what this one do.
(4) Monster Dictionary: It shows you which mobs come from which area in the continent.
(5) Equipment Dictionary: Basically DFOPedia for epic equipment.
