2025 KDnF Summer Conference Summary

  • Summer Conference is a yearly event in Korea where the developer showcase what're coming. A schedule for the rest of the year has been released. For the sake of easy digestion, this post is be organized base on the roadmap. Also the primary information are copied and based on the amazing translation of "halfmango". All credits goes to the user.

  • Variation Point test server update

    • TP, runes and talismans are going away into a new combined system called skill flourishing. It will NOT involve any pots or RNG farming, it’s a new base system to the game.
    • It consists of two parts: flourishing, which fundamentally changes a skill’s functionality like some talismans did, and strengthening, which simply improves its numbers. Players will have choices to change the skills on their characters by spending VP, variation points.
    • All 35 to 80 non-awakening active skills and some passive skills will have VP changes, and two versions will be available for each skill. In total, there are about a thousand VP changes; some may be visually more fancy, while others are more functional than visual. They hope to reduce farming burdens and improve both accessibility and variation to skill builds. 

August - Inae: Twilight

  • Fragments of Delezie, torn to shreds in between dimensions, are now coming together and taking new shapes. They take forms of those in Delezie’s memory, including Yuris. In Inae: Twilight, the Adventurers will face these spawns of Delezie, the Maleficents and Vanitas. 
  • This is a precursor to Delezie raid, but not a watered down version of the main raid like Total War was to Bakal. This is an entirely separate semi-raid with 8 participants. Unlike raids so far, it will have an organic party system where players will not belong to fixed parties and instead join and separate in real time. The final boss will involve all 8 players fighting the boss together. 
  • Note that 2 buffers will still be required; each buffer will be ‘grouped’ with 3 other players, and their buffs will only affect these players. This is to prevent buff overlapping issues. Other skills such as heals will still affect all other players normally. 

Other updates summary

  • Fusion stone conversion systems

    • Right now, there are set fusion stones and distinct fusion stones. Set fusion stones effectively don’t do anything once you hit max set points, while distinct fusion stones are very hard to get, barred by twofold RNG. 
    • They’ll add new ways to get fusion stone conversion scrolls, such as Nabel hard/auction house auctions for Nabel fusion stones. This may seem a bit stingy, but they’re trying to not undermine the efforts of the players who have already gotten endgame fusion stones. There are also other new systems in plan, such as rerolling fusion stones with legion/raid mats. This new system will have failsafes, such as preventing dupes and keeping the old stone if you don’t like the new one (Ozma system). You’ll also be able to change a slot’s fusion stone into the same slot or randomly from all slots. 
    • Also, to further motivate endgame farming, they’ll add another layer of power to set points. After hitting max set points, every additional 70 set points will give 1% overall damage, and 100 buff power and 100 fame. Distinct fusion stones, black fang gears and exalted equipment will be buffed to match this change. 
  • 80 more void souls per month

    • Void souls are designed to be mats for supplementary gearing process (such as gear transcending), but it’s understandable that players see it more as a shackle. They had plans to slowly increase void soul income after Inae: Twilight update, but they see that players are already running short of it. For now, they’ll add 80 more purchasable void souls every month (20 with merchant guild silver coin, 40 with legendary souls, 20 with epic souls). They’re also cautious as they do not want the designed farming process to be disrupted and for upcoming players to easily overshoot what the other players have been getting so far. 
  • Simplified dungeon gimmicks/animations + quick matching for advanced & legion dungeons

    • The qualities of the dungeons have been satisfactory, but many players are reporting fatigue issues because of some obnoxious gimmicks and overly long animations/transitions. They’ve already employed the first batch of fixes last week, but there are some other factors to player fatigue as well, such as looking for parties. For this, quicking matching from Nabel raid will be added to advanced and legion dungeons as well (June 5th). Since it’ll be much easier than the actual version of the dungeon, the rewards will be less, meant for players who can’t invest as much time into these dungeons. 
  • More UI & QoL improvements

    • Various armory & UI improvements in plan 
    • Male slayer sprite follow up patch coming in June 
    • Female gunner sprite improvement in preparation 
  • Summer + 20th anniversary events 

    • New avatar set: lifeguard avatar 
    • Player created avatar sets also coming, one set will be given away for free 
    • More in-place events also in plan
