Lone Roseberry

 

Introduction

• Lone Roseberry is one of the floor boss in The Oculus: The Sanctum of Resurrection
• Note that this page outlines the mechanic for this boss in Oculus Normal Mode.

• HP: 1126.5b (1st floor) / 1351.5b (2nd floor)
• Groggy: None

Wave Eyes Pattern

• Roseberry’s not immune to holds. But if you hold him for too long, wave eyes will appear all over the room and deal dmg to players standing on it. Becomes more intense the longer he is held. 

Ice Waves Pattern

• Roseberry opens a portal, casts his ice waves skill, then the waves exit through the other side of the portal. There are 2 variation of ice movement.
• Variation 1: The ice exit around Roseberry, you can dodge them by staying at Roseberry.

• Variation 2: The ice exit in a more linear fashion, the ice move quite slowly, so you can dodge them by running away.

Consecutive Wave Pattern

• Roseberry opens a rift above him and absorbs some sort of energy.
• Then a circular wave sword starts from where Ron is standing and expands outward, ignoring I-frame.
• Get close to him in between waves.

Thunder Energy Pattern

• Roseberry makes a long rift along the x-axis and drops lightning along it.
• The room is then divided into random rectangular sections that are antisymmetric by the x-axis.
• The sections light up and deal dmg and he can move after using this attack. Dodge by standing on the non-lighted up section.

• NOTE: Do NOT stand in the middle section where the lighting swords drop, they will stun you and pretty much guarantee KO.

Thunder God Pattern

• Roseberry causes an explosion (ignores I-frame) then prepares to summon a thunder god like that of Indra’s (he stays still from this point).
• Players must attack him and deal 30% dmg before it’s fully summoned to stop him. If you fail, all players will take lethal dmg. 

• NOTE: When he summons the thunder god, first stay out of the large circle (it will knock you down), then run inside when thunder god is summoned (you will take damage if stay outside of the circle)

Strategy

• Roseberry’s attacks hit hard and wide while some even ignore iframes but they have a lot of blind spots so if you know all of his patterns he’s not hard.
• His big moves also always start up with him slashing open a rift so you can tell what’s coming.
• His thunder god pattern is also effectively a groggy so you can try to save the awakenings to use here.
