Introduction
- Ezra The Prophet is the boss in The Oculus: The Sanctum of Resurrection.
- Note that this page outlines the new mechanic for this boss in Oculus Normal Mode.
- For mechanics in Hard Mode, visit this Ezra The Prophet page.
- Groggy: Final Ceremony / 15 sec
Judgment Pattern
- Ezra drops multiple meteors across the room that leave donut-shaped fire.
- The donuts then expand and explode.
Fire Wave Pattern
- Ezra launches a wave of fire, which comes back through where it didn’t pass.
- Stand on where it passed the first time to avoid.
Abyssal Swamp Pattern
- Ezra covers the entire room in darkness and then Ezra disappears.
- A purple circle appears, if you leave the circle you’ll get hit by erupting darkness and take big dmg.
- Ezra will occasionally come out of hiding and attempt to attack the players. Counter when he’s about to attack to end the pattern.
Light Barrier Pattern
- Ezra knocks players back and creates a barrier of light around himself.
- Players outside the barrier will be tossed around by pillars of light and take dmg.
- Quickly run towards him to get inside the barrier and be safe. Pretty much a groggy moment since he just sits still.
Silence Pattern
- Ezra causes explosions of darkness around himself. Hits a small area but hit hard.
Main Groggy Pattern: Final Ceremony
- Ezra teleports to the center of the room and summons 4 clones with a magic circle under their feet.
- The clones’ necklace periodically shines with either purple or red. Attack it when it just shined with red to knock them back.
- Knock them completely off the circle to make them disappear. Make all 4 clones disappear and you enter groggy. Also try to avoid the expanding tentacles.
- Fail, and he spirit bombs everyone. Not actually lethal, you can survive by chugging potions while you take damage.
Strategy
- The boss of this dungeon. All of his attacks hit super wide but have specific blind spots. Keep in mind what his patterns do and it’s not super hard to stay alive.
- His health might look big but his defense isn’t very high so he isn’t that much stronger compared to Sarpoza in pwar hard (relatively speaking).
- If your party’s strong enough you can 1A upon entry and try to kill him. Otherwise save your awakenings until his groggy.
