How Strong is Upgraded Legendary

Time Needed to Farm Each Neo Piece
- Data from 40 runs of Traces of Dark Miscreation dungeon
- WARNING: running this dungeon will consume clear cube fragments from ALL 4 characters in the party
- Not include running Dark Miscreation's Garden
- 156 FP per day will give you 19 runs. Let's round up to 20 runs using pot for easy calculation.
- Using average 5.8 per run from data above, each day can get 116
- So each Dimension will takes 16 days to get.
- Each Neo will takes 104 days to get.
- TOTAL: 104 days (3.5 months) per CHANCE of Neo piece
- Include running Dark Miscreation's Garden
- The dungeon only open for 10 minutes every 2 hours on Friday, Saturday, an Sunday.
- Depend on how strong and how many floor can you clear in a 10 minutes window.
- My full legendary Savior can clear up to the 5th floor, yielding 15 per dungeon opening.
- With 156 FP, I can only enter 7 opening per day → 21 opening per week → 315 per week.
- If I farm Traces of Dark Miscreation dungeon during the other 4 weekdays, that give additional 23 per week .
- TOTAL: 1.7 week (~ twice per month) per CHANCE of Neo Piece.
- Worth noting that if the DFOG community put in the effort to clear Miscreation's Garden, we can fill up the "Stop the Dark Miscreation" gauge and can get potential one per week.
Where Does it Fit in the Progression
- Tier 1 Dimension should be able to clear 2+2 easy sub 2 minutes.
- +5 Tier 2 Neo should be able to clear challenge modes comfortably.
Limitation to the Analysis
- Low sample size: only include 40 runs, the average per run may differ with higher sample size.
- Calculator: the author does not completely know what factors are used by the calculator to generate the comparison. The final result may different in sandbag test.
Recommendation
- For those that want linear progression with no RNG
- This is a good option to gear up for endgame.
- However you will need to +5 all three Neo pieces to see a significant increase in damage, and the cost can be very high.
- Don't expect to get accepted to Sirocco Raid with +0 Neo pieces.
- Realistically, looking at cost vs. damage increase vs. farming time, the author can't recommend farming 3 neo pieces and +5 them. You're better off farming
from level 95 caps and run Guide of Wisdom. - For those that like RNG
- Skip this content and keep running 2+2 and Guide of Wisdom.
- In conclusion
- Dark Dimension content does not worth the effort
- If you have trouble clearing 2+2 dungeons in a reasonable time, you could farm the tier 1 dimension pieces to help you with your RNG journey.

ReplyDeleteTo my knowledge, there has not been any mention on this content being reworked. I can only think of one use for it is to get the top piece to go with aeterna set-up.
