  • After the rerun analysis, I have concluded that this place yield about the same gold as before QoL patch. But an argument was brought up that clear time wasn't accounted for so it would be better to just rush the dungeon rather than doing full clear. So... I ran this dungeon 240 more times to test it out.
  • TL;DR: Do full run if you don't care about clear time. If not, at least kill the 2 mini-bosses.
Ghent is Tricky

  • There are 2 different maps, one with 9 rooms and one with 11 rooms. There's no way to tell which map will spawn so doing this analysis can be very tricky when you're trying to track clear time. I could have taken this to another level and just count the 11-room map, but since I'm a casual, I'll just record clear time regardless of either map.
  • Since I already got some number on full dungeon clear, I was curious what if I just do a partial full clear where I take the shortest route to get the 2 mini-bosses. Below are the route I used. As you can see, if you were rushing the dungeon, you would just doing 2 less rooms.
  • Moreover, not every class is born equal when it come to clear time. So to be consistent, I used the same 20 alts over 2 days. One day doing the partial full runs, and one day doing rush. Here are the data.

Discussion
  • Gold per Second: Partial full runs earned me 4,735,747 gold over 3,817.32 seconds, which is 1240.59 gold/sec. Rush runs earned me 3,503,651 gold over 3,189.26 seconds, which is 1098.57 gold/sec. Here you're look at about 11.4% difference.
    • As you can see, just because I cleared the dungeon faster, that doesn't mean I will earn more gold due to me having more time time to repeat the process over and over. Granted everyone's internet speed is different and dungeon load time will vary person to person, but you get the idea.
    • If you're doing actual full dungeon clear, I can see how this argument is valid, especially with the 11-room map. Since the map is basically a circle, there's not a good way to clear it without you backtrack multiple times (example below). So if it's taking you to long, I would at least kill the 2 mini-bosses.
  • Gear Progression: Partial full runs earned me 56 Unique, and Rush runs earned me 33 Unique. That's a 41% difference.
    • If you are a new player, those 23 Unique can help you a lot in your progression, so at least kill the 2-mini bosses.
    • If you're graduated Ghent and want to farm gold. Can you imagine if those 23 Unique are all heavy weapon? That's like 690k gold I threw away just because I wanted 16.4% faster clear time.

  1. Why do you post these without any data from old Ghent?

As someone who used Ghent as main income for months I can tell you the gold was hit hard. You averaged closer to 300 coins per run with a high Ex-Club not 280. Each character that did 19runs would get 9 heavy weapons to sell some days 10, guaranteed. They would get a free Guide Orb run, and after repairs - Sell white/pinks - Grind blues would have 750-850k for their trouble. This is rushing I never crossed over for 2nd mini-boss except when the guide orb made me and its not even including cube profits.

When buying neo premium it shot up. 20 runs so they get 10 Ghent pieces every other day and avg. closer to 900k with all the extra white/blue gear from the Neo cards but can break a mil. when lucky. I'd consistently run the same 4 chars everyday and many more if I wanted the gold. The same 4 would bring 3+ million gold from Ghent (around 3.2-3.5m) everyday in less than an hour. That's including load times/Char changes. When using Neo premium this would go up closer to 4mil.

Since you already did 20 runs in your previous post on Ghent I assume you use Neo Premium. On the low side Old Ghent w/ Neo would give me 3.6mil in 80 rushes. This is ~15k from dungeon(we still get this) ~15k for half a Ghent weapon (lol, Gone) x20 = 600k + drops and card items easily making 250k+ more. 850k x4 = 3.6m/50 mins = 1200 gold/sec INCLUDING loading and menu time. 80runsx20secs is only 1600 secs for in dungeon time which is a touch high for my rush but! 3.6m/ 1600secs is 2,250 gold per second and that's while being conservative.

It took you 40 extra rushes to get anywhere close to the same gold. It took you 5x more chars. It took you hella more time. You got zero Guide Orbs while doing it.

Even being conservative I experienced more than double the gold per second with Rushes than yours and these aren't numbers out of a hat. You really did make ~15k in gold drop and flip, You still do. You really were guaranteed 9-10 Ghent pinks from Lindsey- Anyone that ran Ghent knows this too. That's 600k guaranteed before dungeon/card drops just for rushing it.

So I ask you why do you insist on making articles about how its more or less the same gold farm with no data at all on old Ghent?

And- Will you admit you didn't even farm old Ghent?

    2. Thank you for your data. The difference you're getting is completely understandable in this type of analysis. However it's hard to know if these differences are due to random chance and even harder to know if it's statistically significant. Please send me your spreadsheet and I'm happy to run some tests to find out.
