  • Decisions unto Destiny is a 6-week event as part of celebrating DFOG 6th anniversary.
  • This article outlines some tips so you can get to the highest wave possible.
How Does This Dungeon Work?

  • Full detail about this event can be found in this Decisions unto Destiny event page.
  • I will just briefly tell you know this work. When you enter the dungeon, you're basically fighting waves of enemies. The more waves you can survive, the more reward coins you get at the end. You will fight a boss every 10th wave.
  • In the top right corner, you will see a count down, you don't have to kill everything on the map before the clock hit zero. However, if it hits zero, the next wave will come.
  • After you finish the "Remaining Kills" (For example, 12 kills from the flag above), the game will give you 5 ability options to choose from. Again and again, you get to choose an ability after each wave.
  • From the event page, there are 3 type of ability options to choose from:
    • Type 1: These increase your character stat (e.g. All attack, crit chance, attack speed, etc.)
    • Type 2: These increase your character skills (e.g. increase attack, range, decrease cooldown of a particular skill)
    • Type 3: These are random epic piece (e.g Natural Guardian, Centurion Hero, etc)
  • As you can see, there're some RNG involved in this event, sometime you get good options to pick from and sometime you get jack nothing. But regardless, I will give you some recommendation on which one should you pick to help you get as close as wave 50 as possible.
General Strategy
  • What options should you pick LAST?
    • Critical Chance: When I first started doing this dungeon, I thought to myself, "Well, gear doesn't affect my stat, but if I can get my crit rate up, I can kill things faster". But I was wrong, although crit rate is important, it still doesn't give you the best benefit.
    • HP/MP regeneration: This usually only a problem during your first 10-20 waves, I found myself run low at 30-40% MP. From my runs, if you have to, 1 HP/MP regen should be enough to last the whole dungeon.
    • Movement/Casting/Attack Speed: This option is not bad, however, if you get "Full Plate Armor" piece as an option, pick that instead and it should provide you with plenty of speed.
    • Physical/Magical Defense: Personally, I don't recommend you pick this one. Higher wave mob (30+ wave) are really strong, most of them 1 shot you anyway. There're just way better options to pick.
  • Which options should you pick FIRST and FOCUS on?
    • After looking though various Youtube videos, the main strategy is to pick and stack one skill as much as you can. So whenever you can, try to pick That Skill first.
    • Secondly, Epic pieces will give you huge boost. Many of them give you Skill Level (Centurion Hero Metal Line Armor.png), Decrease Skill Cooldown (Eternally Flowing Path Inexorably Flowing World.png), Super Armor & Speed (Full Plate Armor Plate Power Upper Armor.png), Skill Attack (Elemental Dropper Freezing Cut Robe.png), many many more.
    • With mobs from wave 30+ getting more and more annoying, many of them stun and one-shot you. There are many instances where 20 of them stun me over and over, I was pretty much killed and couldn't do anything. As you can see, if you can get an epic that give you Super Armor, Speed or Invulnerability, try to grab those.
    • Lastly, All Attack +10% option is great to get too.
Example using Female Sader
  • Below are the options I picked during a run. I was able to get to wave 42 before getting one-shotted. Hopefully with enough practice and good RNG, I can get to wave 50.
  • As you can see, I stacked Uriel's Ward Uriel's Ward.png as much as I can. The range of this is skill is huge, it also provide I-frame for you. The more you stack this skill, you can just spam it.
  • I also got plenty of epic pieces and Attack damage. I got some Physical/Magical Defense, Critical Chances as well because those are the only decent option during those waves.
