  • In the last analysis, the author compared Ghent Palace vs. Land of Memories / Bottomless Tunnel vs. Black Shrine. Black Shrine there was clearly the winner overall.
  • In this analysis, let's see how 400 runs of Black Shrine compare to 400 runs of Stormy Route.
Procedure

  • The author had ran out of NeoPremium, with 156 fp plus pot, the author ran 20 runs on each character  for easy calculation.
  • Repair cost was not included for the sake of consistency.
  • Gabriel Shop
    • The author only bought items that are valuable for this analysis such as
    • were not bought due to their minimal affect on this calculation.
  • No Purple Card Flip
    • The author started doing no card flip midway through the analysis, so keep it that way for consistency.
    • Realistically would be better if this card flip is included.
Terminology
  • Total Raw Gold - sum of Goldicon.png from dungeon drops, card flips, selling white/blue/purple drops, and tradeable items such as Time Crystal (Material).png Aiolite.png, excluding card drops.
  • Time's Guide Stone Gold - Theoretical cost of Time's Guide Stone.png in term of character progression.
  • One Free Hell - One Hell run after about 18 dungeon runs. It's the theoretical cost of 18 Time's Guide Stone.png in term of character progression.
  • Total Progression Gold - The sum of all theoretical and raw golds (i.e. Total Raw Gold + Time's Guide Stone Gold + One Free Hell)
  • Jackpot - An occurrence of "Capricious Demon Prion" aka this guy:

Discussion
  • Black Shrine
    • Much easier to clear. 30 billion damage should have no problem clearing comfortably.
    • Has chance of epic drop.
    • Has chance of great card drop such as Ash Rosenberg Ash Rosenberg Card.png, Medium Airag Medium Airag Card.png, Kazan-possessed Rosenberg Kazan-possessed Rosenberg Card.png.
    • Drop Time Crystal, which is one of the main source of income.
  • Stormy Route
    • Much harder to clear comfortably.
    • A lot of the bosses in this place can one shot you easily if don't one shot them first. There are also lots of annoying gimmicks suck as stun, freeze, I-frame. For example:
      • Evanescent Ferman Icon-Evanescent Ferman.png: Stun and I-frame
      • Hammer King Borodin Icon-Hammer King Borodin.png: Stun and I-frame
      • Guardian Rime Icon-Guardian Rime.png: Close to 100 % freeze with ice spike
      • Hyper Mecha Tau Icon-Hyper Mecha Tau.png: Stun and I-frame
      • Giant Nugol Icon-Giant Nugol.png: Bleeding
      • Pandemos Floo Icon-Pandemos Floo.png: I-frame
    • 35-40 billion damage is the cutline to clear.
      • 45-50 billion damage is recommended.
      • 30 billion damage is really pushing it, brave yourself to burn life tokens with that damage.
  • In Term of Raw Gold
    • Stormy Route wins per average run.
    • But you're looking at a 11.6% difference here.
    • But keep in mind this is pre-Sirocco raid. Due to entry ticket costing 30 Aiolite.png, the price may increase when the raid comes out.
  • In Term of Progression Gold
    • Stormy Route wins with jackpots. Without jackpots, both dungeons are not far apart.
    • You're looking at a higher gap of 36.3% here.
  • In Term of Efficiency
    • The main argument here is that Black Shrine has epic drop as an advantage, but at the same time Stormy Route also drop more , which translate to additional Guide of Wisdom runs, which require FP to run.
    • Since level 100 epics are the main point of progression. The author will use epic chance per FP ratio as comparison
    • If the epic drop chance is the same in 2+2, regular Black Shrine runs, and Guide of Wisdom (BIG FAT IF), we all know it's not true, but for the shake of the analysis, the author will designate each epic chance as
    •  to FP ratio
      • Black Shrine
        • Since Black Shrine builds up Guide of Wisdom gauge, 400 runs would give you 420 . Also technically speaking, the first 2 runs give double , one from boss kill, one from card flip. So 400 runs will give 460
        • 400 runs yields 481  and 116  ➤ 33
        • 22,679,742 raw Goldicon.png ➤ 240  ➤ 13
        • Total: 506
        • Total FP: 3,200 from 400 runs + 264 from 33  + 104 from 13  = 3550
        • Grand Final: 0.14  per FP
      • Stormy Route
        • 400 runs yields 1070  and zero  ➤ 59
        • 19,238,588 raw Goldicon.png ➤ 203  ➤ 11
        • Total: 70
        • Total FP: 3,200 from 400 runs + 472 from 59  + 88 from 11  = 3,760
        • Grand Final: 0.02  per FP
    • Black Shrine wins by the long shot with x7.66  more efficient.
Recommendation
  • If all you care about is raw gold, farm Stormy. Even though the raw gold is not far apart, with Sirocco raid coming soon, the price of Aiolite.png will likely to increase. Stormy will give you more bang for your buck.
  • If all you care about is progression, still farm Stormy. It give you more progression in term of gold. HOWEVER, if you factor in RNG, Black Shrine is way more efficient in term of  to FP ratio.
TL;DR
  • Black Shrine is easier to clear, yield similar raw gold with great progression efficiency.
  • Stormy Route is harder to clear, yield slightly higher raw gold, higher gold progression but with terrible efficiency.
