- Korean Name: 은자 에르곤. This is a Boss in Awakened Forest, a legion dungeon in level 110 cap. This page outlines patterns from Extreme difficulty.
Phase 1
Path Finder
- Similar to normal mode, you touch the stone pillar and find the path. Here you will only get 15% damage buff but it will apply to the entire party, not just you like normal mode.
- Note that if you get hit, the pattern you're carrying will disappear, so you would have to touch the stone and do over gain. If you don't clear the pillar during the time limit, it will explode and deal room wide damage.
Path Finder MK2
- Ergon create a big circle that have explosion along this line. 4 pillars will be created on the map along with a cast bar at the bottom.
- The goal is to destroy all the pillar before the cast bar finish. There will be lots of attacks on the map and getting hit means you have to touch the pillar and find the path over and over.
Path Finder MK3
- Legit this is the same song second verse for this pattern. You get a cast bar, and need to remove all the pillars before pattern end.
- Here you get even more pattern attacks on the map. The recommendation here is to touch the pillars, dodge all the attack first, then try to get your marker.
Purple Damage Plate
- Similar to normal mode pattern, red damage zones will take turn appear on the map. At the end you will see a purple damage zone follow you. This plate will explode after all the red plates.
Phase 2
- After phase 1, you will enter phase 2. Luckily in between each phase in extreme mode, there's a "save" function. So if you get wiped on phase 2, you will restart at phase 2 and don't have to do over, which is nice.
Sun / Moon Gauge
- This gauge switches between sun and moon based on Ergon's pattern. It will always start with moon on phase 2.
- The gauge increases when player is hit and is shared between all party members. Gauge is reduced with successful patterns.
- If gauge fills up 100%, everyone is wiped.
Moon Orbs
- A cast bar starts and Ergon creates purple orbs on the map. Occasionally you will see a yellow light path on the map and a light fox run through it.
- The goal is to touch the light fox to absorb its energy, then you can use this energy to destroy the purples orbs.
- Destroy all purple orbs in time will complete pattern. Note that the 1st orb destruction will split it into 2 smaller orbs.
Moon Orbs MK2
- Similar to MK1 pattern, you still need to destroy all the moon orbs using the light fox. The addition pattern here is that you will see either a purple or yellow circle following you.
- When this circle completely expanded, Ergon will jump to that location. If the circle is yellow, Ergon will destroy the orbs for you. On the other hand, if the circle is purple and Ergon jump on there with the orbs, Ergon will create more orbs.
Divided Darkness
- When you completed either of the Moon Orbs pattern above, Ergon jumps to the background and cast this pattern. Ergon created a simple (that looks like a number 9) on the map.
- This simple share HP with Ergon. So essentially whatever damage you do to this simple will apply to Ergon. Note that the Sun / Moon Gauge will not increase if you're hit during this pattern.
- During this time, Ergon will cast the same set of pattern over and over. Please watch the following clip and study the order of pattern carefully
- Afterward, at the end of pattern, Ergon does a triple map cut, and the hexagon at the middle is the final safe zone. After this, Ergon moves to sun patterns.
Will of Light
(3 Orbs)
- Ergon creates a cast bar with 4 stack counts along with 3 light orbs on the map.
- Ergon then start casting light area patterns toward you. When pattern touches the orb, stack count reduce by one. Reduce all stacks will complete pattern.
- The catch here is each time the orb is hit by Ergon's attack, it grows bigger. If any orb is attacked 3 times, it explodes and pattern fails. So the trick here is to reduce 4 stacks count without hitting the same orbs 3 times.
Will of Light
(Whirlwind)
- Ergon creates a cast bar with stack counts and big light orb in the middle. There will be whirlwinds going across the map. It may seem unavoidable but eventually, one will disappear and you can use that spot to dodge.
- During the whirlwind pattern, again, touch the dark fox that run across the map and then touch the light orb to reduce stack counts. This pattern is very tight, so make sure you don't miss the dark foxes.
Divided Light
- Similar to its counterpart, Divided Darkness, Ergon creates a "9" simple in the middle and casts the same set of pattern. Here instead of having lots of diagonal line, Ergon cast halo circle instead.
Phase 3
- This is where the real fight begins, so hold on to your butt.
Attack Gauge
- Similar to Unshackled Largo, Ergon will have similar attack gauge. As the gauge increases, Ergon attack also get stronger. When the gauge fills up, Ergon will do berserk patterns.
- The gauge has teal color during the normal pattern progression, increases for a certain period of time, and turns pink when the berserk pattern starts.
- The yellow gauge at the bottom corresponds to the number of stacks of damage multiplier increase. Each yellow bar is 25% damage.
- In the example below, Player's damage is at 175%. After completing the berserk pattern, the damage is increased to 225%, which is a 50% difference (aka 2 yellow bars).
- Then after that, damage is increased to 300%, which is 75% difference (aka 3 yellow bars).
- Bottom line, the more berserk patterns you complete, the more damage you will have.
Black Seed
- You get a black seed attached to you and an extinction gauge. The seed acts as your hit box for Ergon attack. During this phase, Ergon will fire seed all over the place. If those seeds hit you, the gauge increases.
- When gauge hit 100%, the gauge turns into a huge magic circle and tracks you for a certain period of time. If you touch this magic circle, it stops for a moment, flashes, holds you and kills instantly (Ergon's HP will recover by 20% in solo play and 6.6% in party play).
- If a certain amount of time passes without being touched by the magic circle, or if Ergon's neutralization gauge is destroyed, the magic circle will reset.
Seed of Life
- These are the seed that Ergon fires at you during the fight. There are 3 type:
- Regular seeds are the one that shot at straight line
- Unstable seeds are the one with circular seed. These explode after a while. Their range is a bit larger
- Seed Branch send out the seed on the direction it was growing.
Dark Poison Seeds
- This is similar to the Dark Line pattern in Unshackled Largo. A bat shape creature appears on the map. After a small time passed, the bat turns into a large red-pinkish orb. If your black seed hit point touches this orb, it's instant death.
Distorted Area
- Some of Ergon's attacks leave behind a distorted grey area (some are circles, some are straight lines). After about 5 seconds, the border of those area turn red and damage you if you stay inside it.
- The point of this distorted area is to slow down seeds and meteor that Ergon throws at you. So you use them to dodge his pattern. Below are some examples.
- These areas can also be used to block Ergon's beam as well (pattern explain later). So use it to your advantage.
Ring of Harmony
- Ergon creates multiple rings in order. Then a circle will approach the outside of these rings. The goal is to stay inside those ring when the circle approaches to clear those ring out. This is like your basic Osu! game.
The Boundary of Coordination
(Berserk Pattern)
- Ergon creates giant circles and start shooting laser beams out of it. There are divine beasts with distorted circle arounds them. Those distorted barrier will block the beam. So use them to dodge.
- Remember that those distorted area will deal damage when the outline turn red. So time it carefully.
- This pattern will repeat 3 times, 1st will have 1 giant circle, 2nd will have 2, and 3rd will have 4 circles, so this berserk pattern will progressively getting harder and harder.
- Note that with each pattern, there are 2 straight blue lines on the map. Make sure when you are dodging the beam, you need to stay in between those lines.
The Flow of Waves
(Berserk Pattern)
- Ergon shoots seeds along with creating various Waves on the map. The Waves can varies, either moving lines or rotating lines. Afterward, Ergon throws a big orb on the map, dealing damage in that area, then damage the outside area.
Ring of Harmony MK2
(Berserk Pattern)
- Ergon creates 2 big harmony rings then run to one of them, then the other. Each time a small dear will create more rings out of that. So do you basic Osu! game in the order those rings are created.
- Afterward, Ergon will shoot lots of seed, and create 5 more rings. You will need to destroy those 5 times in the order of biggest to smallest.
Meteor Shower
(Berserk Pattern)
- A vertical distorted area follow a player. At the same time, there's a narrowing red damage zone coming from both side.
- Eventually the distorted area will stop following you and more meteor will drops on your location. This will happen twice. The goal here is to time the distorted area right so that you have some safe zone between the distorted area and the narrowing red damage zones.
Unstable Space
(Berserk Pattern)
- Ergon creates a distorted area and shoot seed all over the place. One of Ergon's clone will create another distorted area along with seed branches inside it. This process will repeat multiple times.
- At the end, Ergon creates 4 ring of harmonies. These rings are the safe zones, so stay in there.
The End of the Play
(Berserk Pattern)
- Ergon summons 4 clones, 1 in each corner, shooting seeds all at once. Ergon during this process also create vacuum that suck in the seeds along with you. This making it harder to dodge.
- Then Ergon casts Distorted area in a triangle shape (this is your safe zone). This vacuum process will happen about 4 times.
- Afterward, Ergon summon 4 circle of harmonies (which are your safe zone), and have a cast bar. This cast bar is quite long so this is a good time to unload all your DPS. When cast bar is complete, Ergon do room wide damage.
