- Petrilisk must be defeated before you enter Bakal. He has many petrification gimmicks. Beside the gimmick and groggy pattern, everything else is pretty much dodge-the-red-area attacks.
Petrification Gimmick
- This gauge appears next to your character. Getting hit by Petrilisk attack will fill this up. Hit 100 gauge will put you in petrification state (if you're wearing Forward to the Future Shoes, you won't get petrified but still received the damage).
- There will be green orbs around the map, taking them will reduce the gauge by 30 per orb.
Groggy Pattern
- Petrilisk says "I'll turn them all to stone!" then jump to the 12 o'clock position. You will see a count down and stack number on the middle bottom screen.
- Petrilisk will have a grey shield around him, staying inside this shield will increase your petrification gauge quickly. If you butthead him, the shield will shrink.
- You will see him summon some yellow pillars around the map. Attack them and brink the yellow orb to Petrilisk to reduce the stack count. Reduce all stacks will create groggy.
