Introduction

  • REMEMBER: Unlike Sirocco, where the damage inflicted during the retreat is negated during retreat in the middle of the fight, the damage inflicted continues to accumulate even when retreating.
  • The throne of chaos where you fight Ozma is actually 1 giant map that splits unto 3 sections, one for each party.
  • Ozma has 2 forms: Phase 1 is him just sitting in his throne, and you fight a summon shadowing crystal thingy.
  • Phase 2 is him standing up and actually fight you. There're gonna be a lot of patterns, and you can see multiple of them happening at the same time. So pay attention.
  • NOTE: Ozma has very few phase specific patterns. For the most part, he can do any of the following patterns in both phases.
Simple Patterns
  • He has simple patterns, where you see circles on the floor and meteors, explosion and lasers coming at you. Try your best to dodge those indicators. Some examples below
Chain Pattern
  • You will see 2 type of chain colors connecting between members. If you see the black chain, run AWAY from each other.
  • If you see the red chain, stay on each other until the progress bar finish to disconnect the chain.
Yellow Arrow Pattern
  • One member will have a yellow circle with arrows on them. After a little time, explosion occur on that member. It would most definitely kill that person.
  • What everyone needs to do is to go to that yellow circle so the explosion damage can be shared/dispersed/spread among everyone.
The Test of Chaos Pattern
  • The summon shadowing thingy will have 5 orbs on them. You will then see a purple line connected to you.
  • First you see small meteors coming down then you see a large circle around you with a smaller circle expanding to the large circle.
  • When the small circle hits the large circle, a bigger meteor drop on that location dealing damage with a wide AoE. After that, it will spawn a tombstone at that location.
  • This will happens 5 times among all member of the party. If a tombstone is within the splash zone of the next big meteor, it will be destroyed.
  • At the end of the pattern, Ozma will do AoE damage. If there're less than 3 tombstone on your map, no safe zone is spawned.
  • If 3 or more tombstones are present, one of them will summon a gold nen guard so you can stay in and avoid the AoE.
  • As you can see, it's in your best interest to spread out those tomb as much as possible.
The Look At/Away Pattern
  • Simple pattern, if you see an "X" mark, look AWAY from him. If you see an EYE, look at him.
  • NOTE: If you're fighting the Crystal, Ozma sitting on the throne is STILL the point of reference, not the Crystal.
Green Gauge Pattern
  • You will see a bunch of meteors hitting the map, leaving White and Pink orbs on the ground. Everyone then have a gauge above them.
  • Eating the White orb will increase the gauge. Eating the Pink orb will decrease the gauge.
  • At the end of pattern, there will be a bunch of lighting on the map, no safe zones. Your job is make sure your gauge stay at the green mark. If you manage that, you get a gold nen guard on you.
The Ripple Pattern
  • Ozma summons 3 orbs on the map. A random member also have 3 orbs on top of them.
  • The orb will send a pink wave, you can dodge by jumping. The catch is when the person with the orb land, he/she also send the same pink wave (like a ripple effect).
  • This pattern seems to hit the sanity gauge the hardest, a whooping 30 sanity per shockwave hit.
  • This pattern will need some practice to get the timing right so you don't kill your teammate.
Orb Passing Pattern
  • You will see some member having an White orb on them. This orb will continuously drain their HP and prevent them from casting skills.
  • So in order to prevent death, you can pass the orb until the pattern end.
  • In the pattern above, the orbed player has a white aura, which will drain HP. If you have the purple aura, it will drain Sanity instead. You know when this pattern ends by the fact that the orbs float up and then cause a big AoE around them.
Orb Following Pattern
  • You will see purple orbs following you and your teammate around. They don't do a lot of damage, but they're annoying.
  • When they first appear, the orb will be purple. When broken, it creates a whirlpool that suck you in. If trapped, you become invulnerable for a little bit.

  • After the whirlpool is complete, it generates a black orb. Those don't have HP bar. If you touch them, they will explode and knock you down, then it creates a lighting strike in that area (use Quick Rebound to dodge the strike). The different color orbs will cancel out their patterns if they collide.
  • When the time runs out, Ozma will strike your map with lightings. As you can see, if you time it carefully, you can purposely break those orb, so you dodge the AoE damage.
Green Shadow Pattern
  • Party member will have different orb around them. You will see explosions on your map with the color matching one of these orbs.
  • If the explosion matches your color, you won't take damage, but other will. As you move, you will see a green save zone that act as a "shadow". Your teammate can stay there to avoid taking damage.
  • NOTE: If you stand too close to the other orb, both of your orbs will disappear and you both can die.
Booty Bump Pattern
  • One member will have a Yellow flames under him/her, while others will have red flames. The red flames people will also have a gauge bar above them.

  • When the gauge runs out, Ozma shoots laser rays at you (impossible to dodge, and I believe it also ignore i-frame skills like Awakenings).
  • To dodge this pattern, the person with the yellow flame needs to Booty Bump the red flame person to knock them down, so they they can use Quick Rebound to dodge the ray.
  • NOTE: The depletion speed of each member's gauge is different, so make sure you get the timing right, don't bump too early, the quick rebound skill doesn't last that long
Transformation Pattern
(Phase 2 Specific)
  • Again just a reminder that once you clear "Ellerinon, City of Tragedy", you will force Ozma to enter phase 2.
  • This pattern is very similar to Black-Eyed Sarpoza, where he knocks everyone down.
  • Here Ozma picks you up, slams you down, then do like a super nova super saiyan scream, dealing damage to everyone on the map. So ya, just use Quick Rebound.
Marble Changing Pattern
(GROGGY)
  • 5 marbles appear on the map. Their color can be changed with simple tap attack. At the middle bottom of the screen you will see a list of colors you need to match those marbles.
  • Match all marbles according to the list before time runs out will complete the pattern and create 10-second groggy
  • NOTE: Those marbles have casting gauges on them, they will change color when that bar fills up even though you didn't hit them.
  • NOTE #2: You don't have to match the color in order how they're presented on the bottom screen (e.g. right to left or vice versa). As long as you match all, that's enough

Seeking Nen Guard Pattern
(GROGGY)
  • You see a bunch of Yellow Crests on the floor, then they turn gray. When you step on a grey crest, they turn yellow and spawn a Nen Guard there.
  • The catch is some of those Nen Guard are fake, and will disappear about a second later. Your job is to find the real ones (only 4 available on your map).
  • The REAL one are those that don't disappear after you step on the gray crest (pretty simple).
  • As you can see from the gif above, the top 2 crests are fake (the nen guard disappear almost immediately)
  • NOTE: There will be explosions going around the map. Once you found the correct crest, you don't have to stay there and take damage from those explosion. You can move away and go back to it.
  • Once time runs out, Ozma do freaking THIRD AWAKENING on everyone. So if you don't have the Nen Guard, well, you know. After that, he enters 10-second groggy.

Super Counter Pattern
(GROGGY, Health Specific)
  • This pattern activates when HP hits 10%, Ozma throws your party into limbo.
  • There your whole party needs to cumulatively do 30 counter attacks to activate 10-second groggy (higher difficulty will require more counters, 35 at level 1, 40 at level 2-3)

Final Showdown Pattern
(Health Specific)
  • He does this when HP drops below 5%. It's his last effort to throw everything at you. His patterns going everywhere ALONG with the map being windy, make it even harder to dodge.
  • You will see some green orbs on the ground. Eating it will reduce skill cooldown by 30 seconds. So at this point, really just throw all the skill you have at him
