- It's been over a month since the max level expansion. It was necessary to respond to various issues that occurred after the max level expansion, and to improve convenience that was not taken care of in advance.
- After a meeting with the staff, while chatting, I heard the words, “I am busy working for the max level expansion, so I can’t do it on weekdays, and I don’t have time to do housework on the weekends because I am busy.” I was proud and saddened by the development staff who continued to work hard after the update.
- What is particularly encouraging is that not only those who have played DnF in the past, but also a lot of new/returned adventurers. In addition, existing adventurers are also called Dunlin, and we are very grateful for the help and interest in the settlement of new/returned adventurers.
- We may not have been perfect, but we are really happy with the many people called Dunlin while producing content called Elvenmere that is about to be updated tomorrow, planning an event, organizing a package, preparing a convenience update, etc.
- I think the part that had the biggest impact on adventurers was probably the item reorganization.
- Among the various options for items, if not modified, there were some that would cause serious balance problems in the future, and some items that are expected to be highlighted according to the change of the future meta.
- As I said at the last festival, even if you have a bit of a crazy time in the beginning of the cap, you should fix the items that cause serious balance problems in the future so that it will not negatively affect adventurers with other settings. Because of this, it was inevitable to proceed with revisions several times.
- Even before the revision, there were adventurers who were satisfied with the options and had a lot of fun, so it seems that the unavoidable revision caused inconvenience and anxiety a lot. I apologize once again.
- And after the item reorganization to be carried out tomorrow, we do not intend to proceed with the large-scale item modification similar to the previous one.
Future Direction
- Also, there are a few things that are still under development and are under discussing.
- It's about independent objects. From the past to the present, there has been a problem in that characters who mainly use independent objects do not receive the option of triggerable items properly.
- We don't know all the history of this, but if we simply modify it, the balance can be shifted, and problems such as huge lag can occur, so we are approaching it with caution, but we are currently working hard to improve it.
- In the near future, we will accelerate the pace of development so that we can introduce it to adventurers through related patch notes.
- We are also carefully reviewing your comments on the difficulty of dungeons.
- It requires some combination of settings as well as acquiring certain epic equipment to go from expert to master.
- We plan to lower the Master Difficulty and King Difficulty so that you can move up to the upper level more smoothly. So we're trying to alleviate some of that problem.
- We plan to maintain the gap between Normal and Heroes to some extent so that Heroes can become more challenging content.
- Master and King difficulty adjustments will be reflected immediately this week, but setting a new difficulty level will take a little longer.
- In addition, problems such as incomplete settings, which are one of the other factors that increase the entry barrier for new characters or adventurers, will be continuously alleviated by adding helpful content, starting with Elvenmere, which will be updated this time. Please support this as well.
- And, as previously mentioned, the new advanced dungeon, Meister's Lab, will be introduced through the first server in early May.
- We know that new dungeons, cool patterns, attractive monsters, and rewards or equipment that can be obtained are always a part of high expectations and interest, and we are doing our best to meet those expectations, especially this time at the max level. As adventurers received a lot of favorable reviews about the story through the expansion, we are working hard to create depth of fun in the story aspect as well.
- Lastly, I was thinking about giving something to give as a token of appreciation for the fact that so many adventurers love and enjoy DnF. I've seen a lot of comments about the cute SD mask avatar that I recently gave as an event reward.
- So, I would like to proceed with the Spring Attendance Check event right away so that you can acquire the item once more. It was a decision I made hastily because I wanted to respond to the voice you give me, even a little, but I hope you like it.
- I think it is really important to give you trust by showing how the parts I talked about in the developer notes, DnF Festival, or DnF ON are implemented step by step.
- Until now, except for some content that is judged to be better to be provided at a less burdensome time by adjusting the schedule, such as a creature reorganization, everyone is doing their best to keep the roadmap I mentioned earlier.
- We will do our best to repay you with higher quality by not repeating the disappointing parts in this max level expansion update, and continuing the popular parts.
- We would like to once again thank all adventurers who are always with us. Please give a lot of love and support to our development team, who are working hard day and night to make the most prosperous year even before the max level expansion.
