- With the release of Black Purgatory, Roschest Outskirts has been in the hotspot of the best place to farm. What were dropped? How much gold can you get?
- Here I clear the dungeon 400 times to see how it's compared to Stormy Route.
Procedure & Data
- Roschest is tricky, instead of taking a fixed 8 FP per run like other level 100 dungeon, it takes 1 FP per room. On top of that, the FP required to clear Roschest depends on the mini-boss at room 4. You can follow this Black Purgatory Daily Dungeons Simply Explained for the optimal route of farming. In a nutshell, it can take anywhere from 9~11 FP to clear the dungeon.
- Therefore, to be consistent, I decided to do full clear (12 FP). Below is the data for what I got with Neo-Premium without repair cost (each character represents 20 runs at Normal Mode).
- And here's the data from previous Stormy Route runs from my previous post Stormy Route: Sirocco "Nerf" Debunked. Same procedure, 20 runs, sell all drop, not include repair cost, etc. Jackpot means you encounter the demon dog thingy that drop a bunch of Time's Guide Stones.
Discussion
- In term of raw gold: I used market price 25,999 for and 5,900 for
- Raw gold means what I got by selling all the drops and selling in the auction hall.
- For Stormy Route, you average 1,048,788 gold per 20 runs (aka 6,555 gold per FP)
- For Roschest, you average 1,600,821 gold per 20 runs (aka 6,670 gold per FP)
- Note that this Roschest average is based on full run of 12 FP, and you earn about 1.75% more gold than Stormy Route, so if you follow the optimal route through the algorithm, I'm sure you can make even more.
- In term of progression:
- For Stormy Route, you average 61 per 20 runs (aka 0.38 per FP)
- For Roschest, you average 27 per 20 runs (aka 0.11 per FP)
- So, if you want more hell mat to run Guide of Wisdom, Stormy Route is probably better place to farm. In return, you only earn just a little bit less gold.
Final Impression
- Roschest Outskirts:
- Pros:
- Drops tradable materials like which can easily funneled into another character. You will make more gold than Stormy Route if you sell these in the auction hall.
- Drops a lot more than stormy route, which is one of the main complain from lots of players.
- Drops Black Purgatory materials so you can roll your luck.
- Drops epic if you're lucky.
- Cons:
- Requires a lot more gear to farm effectively. My full Aeterna Berserker can farm Stormy easily. But when I bring him to Roschest, oh man, it wasn't good.
- Stormy Route:
- Pros:
- Drops more hell mats for Guide of Wisdom.
- Drops a bit more gold, but you will end up making less if you sell all the Aiolites and Time Crystals from Roschest.
- Doesn't require as much gear to clear.
- Cons:
- Those hell mats are untradable, so hard to funnel to another alt.
- Doesn't drop as much , which pretty needed for everything in level 100. With Ozma raid on the horizon, you're gonna need even more.
- Doesn't drop epic.
Which One I Farm
- Neither, I don't farm 1 dungeon mindlessly with 1 character. I do my daily on multiple alts. Think about it, doing daily 4s on 5 alts is the same as doing 20 runs with 1 alt. Plus I get to enjoying playing variety of characters. So, pick your poison bois.
did you the roschest in normal or exp?
ReplyDeleteNormal mode. I'll add to the post. Thank you!
DeleteThanks to you for your articles, are really helpful
DeleteHow long did each run take?
ReplyDeleteAbout 1 minute per run depending on the alt I'm using. If you just rush boss, it would probably take less time.
DeleteAs a newer player, I appreciate your work here. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHow big of differences would expert have over normal mode, 1,3% higher then numbers shown ?
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure because I don't have the data for that. But I do plan to do a comparison between normal and expert mode.
