- Hard Oculus is a new mode added to DFO on June 23, 2020.
- The concept is very similar to regular difficulty with just some boss variation.
Introduction
- Entry Rules
- Must be Level 100 or above.
- No Daily or Weekly entry limits.
- You can receive Daily rewards once a day.
- Your Daily reward count will be reset everyday at 9:00 AM.
- How to Enter
- Complete the Episode quest "Revenants in the Cycle" to enter. You can access the "Revenants in the Cycle" quest through the Episode quest "Something in the Eyes".
- Enter through "The Oculus" channel.
- You can create a party through NPC Oberith Rosenbach in The Oculus channel. After creating a party, you can enter the right-hand side area. You can then start through NPC Teida Beonarr.
- For parties of 4 or more. Parties of fewer than 4 players cannot enter.
- At least 5,938 Exorcism is recommended.
- Requirements
- No entry materials are required.
- 8 Fatigue is consumed upon entering.
Dungeon Layout
- Hard mode only have 3 floors. Unlike normal mode where all the floor bosses and mini-bosses spread out across 3 floors, in hard mode, you start at floor B2 where all the bosses and mini-bosses are on the same floor. Here you go straight to the left, you can go down to B3, where the final boss the prophet Ezra, is located.
- There are 4 bosses on this floor, the 3 original floor bosses (Hellcat Louise, Lone Roseberry, and Red Ghost Soryun). And lastly on the staircase room, you will face Red Ghost Soryun again, but a modified version (berserked version you can call it).
- Note that skill cooldown will NOT reset even if you defeat a named boss. Also, since you CANNOT go back to the previous room, you must decide whether to proceed by picking up buff from killing mini-bosses then face another boss , or ignoring mini-bosses and proceeding straight to the next boss.
- A 15 minute time limit will be activated when you start the content. Your mission fails if you exceed the time limit. Defeating Imposters will add 5 minutes to the time limit.
- Life Tokens are limited to 4 per party. You can increase your max Life Token limit by 2 by defeating the Pandemonium monster Volcano Spider.
- Defeat Tria Celebrum to save the merchant NPC.
- Certain Consumables are restricted from use in this content.
- Consumable Puppets are restricted from use.
- Sacred Blessings, Heavenly HP Potions, Heavenly Potions, Divine Revival Formulas, and Immortality Formulas are restricted from use.
Rewards
- Clearing Hard Mode will give you new material "Encroached Grim Seeker's Souls"
, along with 
and new Product of Wisdom recipes 
. - Really the only valuable item from Hard Mode is the "Encroached Level 100 Epic Weapon Pot Selection Box"
that costs 2,000 . - It can be purchased once per month and is account-bound.
- It only generate weapon for your class though, not specific sub-class. So technically you can get this box, open on a brand new character, then change the said character's subclasss to whichever weapon type you got.
