DFOArchive: Title of Hot Summer 2021 Package Simply Explained

With the release of summer package 2021, we now have a new title that everyone has been talking about.
Here I'll explain why it's unique and why it's extremely popular, even in Korea.

How It Work

When you get the package, opening the title box will give you 1 of 45 different titles.

The pool is 45 title because you get a chance of getting 2 type of titles, Normal and Platinum (5 of each kind).
Of the Platinum title, it's further split into 8 titles (each giving damage to a particular skill ranging from level 30 to level 80). So 8 times 5 is 40, plus 5 normal title, give 45 titles.

Why It Special

15% damage modifier is nothing special for DFO global, but it's the additional damage to skill level is what make it unique. This is the first time we have had this in global version.

This type of title is nothing new in Korea. They have had this for multiple packages, and it's one of the most popular title there. If you look at player ranking in Dunfaoff, pretty everyone there has this title.
So why is it so popular? well, the current meta is more doing sustain damage with Black Purgatory and Ozma raid. So many players are switching to those type of build, which include more Cool Down Reduction (CDR) gears. Adding to the list is talisman, which many of them further increase damage for those skills.
There you can see, Talisman + CDR gear such as Crossroad set + This title = OP gear.

How to Get It

If you look at the stat for all title, the best one is "A Midsummer Night Dream" due to the 15% modifier. You can RNG reroll this title for the one you want with "Title Change Ticket" for 500,000 gold each.

Another way to guarantee getting the title with the skill damage you want is through the coin shop.

For 4 coins, you can upgrade any title into "A Midsummer Night's Dream title". Then for another 4 coins, you can upgrade that title into the Platinum version that has a random skill option.
Then you can RNG reroll this Platinum title for the skill you want for 2 coin each.

Really if you think about it, it will take at least 10 coins to get the Platinum you want, and you may need to reroll more for the skill. So Neople put another option in this coin shop.
For 10 coins, you can buy the "A Midsummer Day Title Box", which basically A Midsummer Night's Dream Platinum version (aka best version title) AND you get to select which skill you want on that too.

Which Skill to Pick

One of our player with explorer club "Dream" has kindly compiled a comprehensive popularity list for every class in the game using Dunfaoff ranking system (basically going into people profile and see which level title they use).

Should I Buy This Title

Our official DFOG Content Creator, Yong*, has created a great flow chart just to answer this question. It also compares this title with previous ones we had.

In a nutshell, this title is pretty much for min-maxing your character. Below is an example from KDnF player showing the damage increase.
In the picture below, both titles give the same 15% modifier, but the one on the left give 10% damage to level 45 skill. This player is a Female Ranger, which level 45 skill (Death Hawk) is extremely popular. This player concluded that the damage increase was only about 2.5%.
