  • Do you wonder which Abyss set to pick for your swap set? Do you want to know how much of a damage increase it will give you?
  • Here I compare the 2 set to see if it would worth investing your gold in.
Table of Contents
Introduction
  • As a new player, the number 1 thing you can do to improve your damage is to get a swap set. And I have seen many players ask the question of which Special Equipment set should they get.
  • The generic answer you will get is "Get the Encroached, Warped is for min-maxing" but nobody really goes in depth about it. So in this article, I will show you if it's worth the money to full warped swap set, using my Male Ranger as example.
Firstly, The Damage Increase
  • By default, Warped set will give me 2 less buff levels. In return, I get 6% Physical Critical Damage intensification.
  • It's hard to see this number in action, so I asked a sader friend in the GBL discord to help testing the damage. Totally, we did 4 tests, using the same rotation.
    • Test 1: Me with Warped set, sader full gear with Valor Blessing only.
    • Test 2: Me with Encroached set, sader full gear with Valor Blessing only.
    • Test 3: Me with Warped set, sader with no gear (aka basic sader).
    • Test 4: Me with Encroached set, sader with no gear (aka basic sader).
  • Sand bag setting used: Unlimited HP, level 130, Speed +40%, Timer 25sec.
Sader & My Gears
  • Details info on gears such as amp and enchants are in this supplementary page.
  • Sader's gear below. I'm not sure why VB on swap is level 31 but actual buff is level 34.
  • My gear below:

Test 1 vs. Test 2
  • Me with Warped (Top) vs. Encroached (Bottom) set, sader full gear with Valor Blessing only. Doing the math, the different is about 13 billion damage, which is about 0.7%.

Test 3 vs. Test 4
  • Me with Warped (Top) vs. Encroached (Bottom) set, sader no gear with Valor Blessing only (the sader in this example only have talisman and insignia). Doing the math, the different is about 8 billion damage, which is about 3.4%

Secondly, The Cost
  • Now that we know the damage increase, let's look at how much it cost to get full Warped set with +10 buff level.
  • The main different here is that by using the Warped set, you're losing 2 buff levels, so you will need to make that up using platinum emblems and/or skill title.
  • Selective platinum emblem box is about 40-43m each. Two plats will cost you anywhere from 80 to 90 million.
  • If you decided to get only 1 plat, you will need to get a +3 skill title. And oh man, those titles aren't cheap. Really, depends on the class, it can go anywhere from 50-110 million.
  • Buying the +2 skill title is really a better option. They usually goes for about 30 million.
  • In my example, I only have +2 title, so I used 2 plat emblems + 1 Unique motion aura. The only item that have plat emblem slot beside rare top rare bottom avatar is aura.
  • If I recall correctly, Unique motion aura box usually comes as lost treasure, which is also expensive, 30-40mil at least. So in total, I spent extra 110-130 million gold.
Discussion
  • In my case, Male Ranger, I spent more than 100 million gold for a small gain of 0.7%Can you imagine how much more you need to pay if you're playing a more popular class? *cough*cough* Vagabond.
  • If you take that number and apply to end game like Sirocco Raid, I doubt you can see any difference at all. Sirooco has 891 Trillion HP (Namu wiki source), using the Warped set give me an extra 13 Billion damage in 25sec rotation with sader buff. 13Bil vs 891Tril, that's like nothing.

  • Final verdict: If this is your main, and you really want to min-max your damage, go for it. If this is your alt, and you want to spread your gold among many characters, no, this is not worth. Just pick Encroached set and be done. I mean, look at this KDnf Player with 1,000 Sirocco clears and see how many encroached set he has.
Limitations
  • This was tested with 4 rotations. The consistency in rotation may varies.
  • This was tested with 1 character, Male Ranger. Results may varies depends on the class.
  • This was tested with only Female Sader. Results may varies depends on the sader class and their gears.
  • This was tested with only Valor Blessing buff active. Result may varies when you apply other buffs, elemental shred, 3A 1A, etc.
  • This was tested with only 1 other party member. Result may varies when added synergy and/or Aeterna character.
