  • DFO ExStream is a traditional live stream from the DFOG developer team where they showcase what contents, event, and sale are coming on the following week.
  • The following are confirmed to be released on the next weekly maintenance (July 25th).
  • We're curious about how you have been.
    • It has been about 5 months since I joined DFOG team. I was busy when I first started but it seems like I'm now even more busy. Right now we're busy with Archer class, after that we're prepping for Bakal Hard mode. We're also going through other processes to make our game better.
    • In term of my character, my main has completed all fusion equipment (e.g. Ispins, Bakal, Archmage). Nowadays, I just help other players with contents. I'll be focusing on farming custom epics to get ready for Bakal Hard mode along with playing the new class of course.
  • Adventures are excided about Archer, what plan do you have?
    • Today we will talk about adventure fame data and what will be added with archer updates. We will also have other things to talk about.
  • We did a survey in June, could you tell us about the result?
    • We did the survey about the 1st half of the year. The main feedbacks are about event rewards, growth support, API, controller support, and avatar rerun.
    • Survey question, What kind of content would you like to see through regular/special DFO ExStream or on YouTube? Number 1 answer is end game content gameplay by DFO Dev Team. I think this is interesting but if we end up doing this, probably fun to try to do Bakal Hard mode.
  • Beside this question, are there anything else that stood out?
    • The avatar rerun is the big one and we're trying out best to implement this in the future. We also have a big interest in DFO lore, so we will prepare sort of summary for those. We also thank you for those that participate in the survey.
  • What data do you have about our fame?
    • We added Archamge content recently. Here is the data. As you can see the average fame has increased greatly. For the update, the concentration is about Total War fame. After the update, we have more players that are over 40k fame. So overall, Archmage content served its purpose of helping players get to Bakal's fame. We still have user that hover under 40k fame, so we will provide other events to help you as well.
    • As for clear statistic for Transcendence mode, the clear rate for Karon was much lower than other boss. We heard that Myer was hard for you guys, but this data indicates otherwise.
    • We looked at the lowest clear fame and fastest clear time. Lowest fame is at Fount of Abyss, and fastest time is for Lady of Light at 128 sec. Whoever these players are, it's impressive.
    • As for Bakal Raid clear, it has been about 3 months since the release, and more players can clear raid now. This is the top 5 number of accumulated clear and estimated clear count per week. I can't even do 10 character per week, so I'm impressed.
    • As for bid price in Bakal Auction Unique Items, highest bit is the Aura box and Background ticket. I have been clearing every week since released and I only got one of these item.
  • What will be added with our Archer update to help us growth character?
    • We will update both archer subclasses with this update. From our survey question, what factors do you consider important when selecting a character in DFO, the answer are appearance and performance. I think Muse and Traveler can stand up to these.
    • We also have Advance dudgeon farming improvement. We will have Epic item option level and fame entry adjustment for Meister Master. We were able to fast track this to match Ispins entry fame level. Hopefully it can help our adventures growth their fame.
    • We will have Level-Up, Power-Up for Archers! event. Only archer can participate, and mission update is now up to 40,047 fame (there was a typo on the slide during stream, but this is the updated version). We will have burning event in Ispins / Total War. We hope that participating in these events can get adventures ready for Bakal raid.
    • Players has concerned that this event is only for archer, so to address this we will have Breaking News! Legal Item Duplication event, which will allow you to duplicate your event archer equipment into another character. So the more you participate in event, the higher state equipment you can duplicate. Avatar, insignia, and other sale item will not be duplicated. The objective is to participate in 1 class and able to growth 2 characters. There's no limit of which character can receive the duplication.
    • We added this due to the needs for our service, this will increase the amount of characters and hopefully help with party play. After all, we do have a buffer shortage. So even if you growth Traveler as DPS, the duplicated equipment will have their enchant converted to buffer version.
    • On August 8th, we will have safe amplification support event. We have confirmed that there's a need for this.
    • Big part of growth is platinum emblem. so we will add Platinum emblem synthesis for your advancement event. Buffer plat is also hard to get, so we will add to Danji shop where you can get through Danji coin.
    • Some players have concern about Muse being hard to play. We have updated our buffer guide for muse. We will also gather guide from our players as well. If you see some game play, you can see that the main skill is score and note skills. The main point is to input those note correctly based on the score. So quick tip, if you put your note skills on the order from left to right on the quick key, you can kind of visually think them as 1234.
  • Tell us about the summer package?
    • We will have Waterbomb Festival package. Arad and NPC will be converted into summer theme. NPC Meister Curio will wear Deep Diver set. From our survey question, who is your favorite NPC in DFO, the answer is Seria, GSD, and Tomboy Becky. I'm shocked that GSD is on this list.
  • What else do you have in store for us?
    • For Network Issue, I was wondering if I should talk about this in stream. This is definitely big issue that players face in party and us developer as well. On our end, to give you the overall idea, we're preparing for code refactoring in order to improve our network environment. This will alleviate server load by utilizing resources from other servers during peak demand time. We're also researching ways to reduce amount of package sent from client to server, about a third of its current volume. This is still in research phase, so it will take a while to implement.
      • Internally, we're making adjustment to align with our global service. We have adventure from many physical locations, resulting in high ping in party play. We're planning to increase more relay servers. We ask for your patient while we work through this issue.
    • For API release schedule, we plan to release this August. Detail schedule coming soon. This is the current main page that currently in the work. Here's an example of highest fame for each class advancement that you can pull from API. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
    • For Cinematic Trailer, we will be uploading English dub version of Archer trailer on our YouTube channel. On August 8th, we will also add "The Next Journey" story trailer to show you why we're fighting Bakal.
    • We will hold Archer Fanart Contest, hopefully many adventure will participate. Awakening artbook will be one of the main reward. Not just art contest though, we will provide these artbooks through other ways as well (e.g. ExStream raffle)
    • For Steam version, we have added DLC and achievement this July. As part of platform management, we encountered some issue while trying to upload our client. This is still in the work.
    • We have some feedbacks about marking our game. So we are excided to announce that DFO will be available in EPIC game store. We will have a small celebration event in game.
    • We introduced the Controller Support through Dev's Note last time. This support will be available on August 22nd. You can configure using Xbox or PlayStation controller.
