  • Fatigue point (FP) is a basic function in DFO, and here I'll explain what it is, what's it for, and how to get more of it.
Basic Concepts
  • You can find your FP bar on the bottom right of the screen. Hovering the mouse over it will tell you how many point you have left.
  • Fatigue points determine how much you can play that particular character. Generally speaking each dungeon room will cost 1 FP. For example, if a dungeon has 4 rooms, it will cost you 4 FP to clear. When you're out of FP, you can no longer enter dungeon for that day. FP will reset each day.
  • Some exceptions:
    • With level 100 cap, some dungeons will cost a fix amount of FP regardless of how many room you clear. E.g. Ghent Palace, Basement of Pain, Black Shrine, etc.
    • Raid dungeons will not cost any FP. E.g. Fiend War, Prey, Sirocco Raids.
    • Some dungeons don't require any FP at all to enter. E.g. Valley of Fallen Souls area.
Get More FP
  • The biggest way to increase FP per character is to purchase Neo Premium Contract. It's located under "Premiums" tab. This contact will increase your default 156 FP to 272 FP, which is a huge boost. The best part is that this increase is for every character in the account.
  • For a 30 days contract, it will cost you about $10.
  • NOTE: If you get the contract, you will have an option to turn on "FP Express", which burn FP twice as fast but give you twice as much EXP. Do NOT turn this on. The majority of your EXP for leveling is from completing quests, which this function does not increase. So the more FP you have, the more quests you can complete, the faster you can level up.
  • Beside contract, another way to increase FP is through FP pot. This generic point can be crafted through Alchemy profession. Most people buy them from Auction Hall.
  • You can only use 1 pot per character per day. Each pot will recover 30 FP.
  • Sometimes Neople releases packages what have FP pot as bonus as well. So watch out for those.

The Problem With FP
  • The biggest problem is that Fatigue Point hinder new players from playing more on their first day. DFO only allows you to create 2 characters per day. For a 156 FP bar, it will take about 1 hour or so to burn through.
  • So without any FP pot, on the 1st day, new players probably can only play about 2-3 hours.
  • If you're a new player reading this post. Please don't let this kill your game experience. I can assure you that when you get to max level and closer to end game, FP won't be a problem at all. This game highly encourage you to play multiple characters. The more characters you have, the better funneling you can do.
  • Just look at the first page of my character screen, I barely have time in the day to play all of them.
