DFOArchive: [Korea] Director's Note: September Update

This director's note was released on September 3, 2021. Director Yoon talked about what his plans are for the month of September. Here I'll summarize his points.

Powerful Energy

Director Yoon stated that there are still many fixed damage characters in the game that require refinement to boost their damage. The downside is that there's limited supply in game. On top of that Dragon Tournament (one of the main source) is quite an old dungeon and is very repetitive.
In the end of the day, the main problem is that Powerful Energy only drops at old level dungeon, so it's necessary for level 100 dungeon to drop it, too. Therefore, Powerful Energy is going to drop in Ghent Palace, Land of Memories, and Bottomless Tunnel bosses. As for Dragon Tournament, drop rate will remain same, but 50% will be account-bound.
These changes will take effect on September 9, and they will continue to monitor if this would work.

Infinite Nen Guard

If you don't know what this is. Basically in KDnF, with Ozma raid, there're certain build and gears that reduced Nen Guard cooldown so much that Female Nen can cast this over and over. Thus, she protect the party from Ozma's attacks at all time. Kinda defeat the purpose of playing the game really. They have decided to nerf this skill only in Ozma raid. A brief summary as below:

Changed when cooldown is applied (at the time of casting → after channeling ends)
Cooldown fixed to 30 seconds at all levels
Changed to apply 50% duration in Ozma Raid

With the changes above, infinite Nen Guard will be impossible. Furthermore, the performance of Female Nen is quite lacking. She has less lower level skills than other characters. They plan to add new active skills for level 25 and 30. More detail will be released on test server on September 8th.

Miscellaneous

He stated that the demand for Power Essence is much higher due to the release of the farming improvement patch. To address this, they plan to increase the purchase limit from 10 to 40 per day.
If players are wondering why farming improvement patch didn't include the 5 slot extension to the Guide/Squad mode and didn't include single-player mode for some contents, he states that these changes will be on the test server on September 8, and live server on September 16.
Finally, the September 16 character balance patch will include adjustment to buffer classes. He mentioned that he was frustrated with the weak performance and long skill cooldown, so he will try to make those adjustment as much as possible. He hope that these adjustment will make buffer classes more fun to play.
