2023 KDnF Winter Festival Summary

  • Winter Festival is a yearly event in Korea where the developer showcase what're coming. This year, a schedule for the next 8 months has been released. For the sake of easy digestion, this post is be organized base on the roadmap. Also the primary information are based on the amazing translation of "halfmango". All credits goes to the user.

November 2023
  • Equipment level adjustment: Various existing dungeons will have their option level adjusted.
  • Integrated advanced dungeon improvement:
    • Noblesse Code and Noblesse Code: Dusk Improvements
      • Reduces somewhat long Noblesse code play time
      • Reduces travel time after selecting a region, automatically acquires epics after clearing a dungeon, and eliminates unnecessary actions by automatically going to town.
      • Improvements to various areas that delay play time, such as how Bolt MX_3 appears and easing missions to break through scouting bases
    • Meister's Laboratory Improvements
      • Ease the appearance of GB-2 Identität
      • In GB-1 Haps Phase 1, if all HP is reduced, clear immediately without any animation.
    • White Cloud Valley improvement
      • When playing on Normal/Master difficulty, the progress gauge increases according to named kills.
December 2023
  • Character renewal: Inquisitor, Male Brawler, Sword Master.
    • Inquisitor
      • Level 30 new skill ‘Surge of Holy Flame’ added
      • Level 70 new skill ‘Extermination of treason’ added
      • Flame of Purification skill level change
      • ‘Decollation ’ and ‘Burning Wheel’ skill talisman options changed

    • Male Brawler
      • ‘Picharesk’ skill function change
      • ‘Needle Spin’ skill renewal, level 45 new skill ‘Vicious Lariat’ added
      • Enhanced usability of ‘Dirty Barrel’ skill

    • Sword Master:
      • Improved visuals of ‘Swift Demon Slash’ skill and strengthened Zanbato specialized concept
      • Improved skill visuals and process for ‘Arcane Sword Blast’, and improved skill linkage by adding a stack recovery function.
      • ‘Blade Waltz’ skill visual improvement and usability enhancement.

  • Path of the Strong Event: Similar to previous event, but now have Hall of Dimension and Bakal.
  • Adventurer Circle
    • By using the Adventurer Circle, you can achieve a significant level of improvement in shortening the farming period.
    • Benefits to be added
    • Benefits change depending on the number of characters that have achieved a certain fame  level in the account.
    • Limited application to Dusky Island dungeon, plans to apply content in the future
  • Convenience improvement (Part 1) - Item Related
    • Custom Option Encyclopedia UI Improvements
      • Added sorting function by equipment type (Ent Spirit / Forest Witch / Blue Beryl / Deep Diver / Blue Pirate)
      • Sort by number of options
    • Improved equipped equipment information UI. Opens simultaneously when calling another character information window UI
    • Added equipment option growth shortcut key setting function. It will be possible to open the UI from anywhere in town by setting shortcut keys.
January 2024
  • Otherside Boundary
    • New world dungeon content with a level of difficulty that you can play without feeling pressured.
    • Various battles using ‘the other side of memory’
    • Designed to be easy to play by utilizing various elements within the content
    • Items provided to help grow equipment and farm custom options
    • Depending on your choice, you can consume goods to strengthen your rewards or acquire additional desired rewards.

  • Convenience improvement (Part 2) - System Related
    • Color differentiation is also possible in the party request window.
    • Added option level priority sorting function regardless of part. Provides convenience when looking for growth materials
    • Ability to batch register artifacts in deconstruction and extractor
    • Batch open count increased from 100 to 500
    • Provides the ability to move directly to Seria Room. Provides the ability to move directly to the Seria room through the HUD icon.
    • Improved main UI buff icon display method.
  • Improved accessibility
    • Delete/merge material systems (aka no more retextures)
      • Armor stats change by integrating materials (however, existing character stats are corrected with armor mastery)
      • The material part, including purchase / sale / repair costs, is integrated into the average value of 'light armor' material.
    • Improved village/dungeon movement
      • The warp portal on the right side of Seria's room has been improved so that it can be used directly from the menu selection window.
      • Combines the function of the dungeon list in the existing growth/equipment guide menu with the warp portal.
      • Used as a window to not only move around the area but also go directly to each dungeon.
      • Improved the ability to move directly to the front of the dungeon rather than providing dungeon directions.

February 2024
  • Asrahan, Veil of Mist
    • Pre-raid for the Goddess of Mist (similar to Total War)
    • Additional configuration of Pre-raid's unique system
    • Prepare for the upcoming raid by understanding the flow of the five elements with cute divine beasts.
  • Character Renewal:
    • Battle Mage: Will have sprite improvement and 3rd Awakening cut-scene change.


    • Mistress: Seven Sins of Corruption sprite will be renewed

  • Exceed Mode:
    • Challenging content for the high end whale players. If Liberation Dusky Island was mainly about piloting skills, this dungeon will be about raw power.
    • There will be a variety of difficulties, the highest being the challenging content for the endgame players. Will first be applied to Celesti dungeons and be expanded to other contents over time.
    • Rewards will probably support growth, and high difficulty rewards won’t be so good that players will be forced to aim for it. 
  • Equipment Improvement
    • Growth Method Improvement: Instead of getting experience from feeding gear, you will feed mats you extract from gear instead and simplify the entire process.
    • Gear Specialization Renewal: Current 3 tiers of specializations with 240 level gap will be changed to 5 tiers of specializations with 120 level gap. Furthermore, boring "skill atk" options will be changed with something more interesting in the future so that meaningful change to gameplay can be induced. 
    • Batch Equipment Conversion: Convenience system for new/returnee players unfamiliar with the current system. You can spend material to convert your entire setup to a different preset build. 
March 2024
  • Archer sub class, ‘Hunter’ & ‘Vigilante’
    • Hunter: A hunter belonging to the 'Interception Team' created to eliminate monsters and monsters that threaten the commercial city. Physical DPS character
      • A falcon-shaped god named ‘Falke’ is expected to play a role as a hunting partner.
      • We plan to present heavy and exciting battles using our unique weapon called ‘Cross Shooter’.

    • Vigilante: A character who has been consumed by a monster, but unlike other humans, has the special ability to handle monster and further transform into one. Magical DPS character.
      • There are no major restrictions on transformation and it has a different mechanism from existing transformation characters.
      • Uses a weapon called the Ethereal Bow, and freely changes between human and beast forms depending on the situation to engage in close/distance combat.


  • 2nd / Neo awakening quest renewal
    • Renewal of all 65 subclasses and true awakening quests
    • Breaking away from the common story flow, individual stories are provided through various NPCs and directing tailored to characters and occupations.
    • We plan to add immersion with a richer story.

April 2024
Asrahan, the Goddess of Mist Raid 
  • Story:
    • It uses the artificial 'God' and is a cornerstone to show a variety of Dungeon worldviews where powerful beings live in addition to apostles.
    • An essential story will unfold that can provide an important direction and influence the adventurer's journey to follow.
  • How the content progresses:
    • This is a 12-man, 3 phase raid. Each phase will have choices and selectable buffs that are applied raid-wide and will affect progression.
    • Before proceeding with each phase, choose which direction to proceed with the raid.
    • Prepare to progress raids flexibly through a variety of options
  • Phase 1 Introduction:
    • Overflow System - During certain gimmicks, if you deal enough damage, the damage will be applied to the bosses of other dungeons as well
    • Phase 1 buff: 6 random raid-wide buffs that rotate every week. Some core buffs that are particularly preferable will be guaranteed to appear. Below is phase 1 selection screen

    • In phase 1, you defeat 5 bosses. The bosses have synergistic properties, such as resurrecting other bosses or nerfing players, so players will need to strategize the order of taking them down. Here's phase 1 map.
  • Phase 2 Introduction:
    • Defend against outside interference. The moon and the sun will gravitate towards each other and resonate, the players will have to keep them from resonating and defeat the interlopers.
    • Phase 2 buff: Creates objects in dungeons that have unique effects (ex: wind effect allows players to dash forward). Some effects may have debuffs as drawbacks as well. Here's phase 2 selection screen and map.

  • Phase 3 Introduction:
    • The battle with the final boss, the Mist God, will be a new and thrilling challenge.
    • Phase 3 buff: more passive buff to help amend the raid's issues such as dmg, tokens, etc 
  • Compensation:
    • Weapon and equipment design with a slightly different and fresh appeal
    • You can use''God Mode" and allows you to play transcendentally for a certain period of time.
  • Report screen after battle ends (Includes Bakal Raid, scheduled to be applied to Goddess of Mist Raid)

    June 2024
    • Character Renewal: Exorcist
    • Arcade Center: A collection of old event minigames & dungeons for those who want to revisit them. There will be reputational rewards as well, such as costumes, auras, creatures and titles.
    Other
    • July 2024: Legion - Forest Awakens, new dungeon in between the 2 raids.
    • Second half of 2024: Nabell, the created god raid
      • They plan to have two active raids at any given moment. So far in the 110 cap, as only Bakal raid was present, there was a big issue in balancing it and placing it where it belongs on the fame spectrum. The hard mode was just a temporary solution and not a real one. 
      • In 2024, they plan to make the Asrahan raid as the easier raid for the wider audience and Nabell raid as the harder raid for the higher end players. This has become possible as all the changes in the game, R&D and experiences for the developers have set the groundwork for an improved workflow and production.
    • Festival Gift:
      • Popping Popping Festival:
        • Won My Ham's FESTIVAL GIFT - 3,000 Mist Cores, Popping Popping 8-bit Creature scheduled to be provided (11/18/23 ~ 2/29/2024)
        • Seria's FESTIVAL GIFT - Sub Class change ticket, 3,000 Mist Cores, Popping Popping 8-bit Creature, Buff Enhancement Title, One-Shot Equipment Amplification Book, Title/Aura/Creature Set to be provided (2023/11/25~2024/ 02/29)
      • Winter Spec Up Training Event - +12/8 weapons, full set of enchantment beads, arbitrator admission ticket / mist core, and bulk transfer tickets scheduled to be provided (11/23/23)
      • Winter Festival - Buff enhancement title, custom epic box, pure golden amplification book, one-shot epic transcendence stone, full set of enchantment beads, arbitrator admission ticket / mist core, popping popping 8-bit adventurer creature, and "undisclosed" rewards scheduled to be paid (11/30/23)
