[Korea] Director's Note: November Update

  • This Director's Note aims to address the new changes to Asura and Necromancer along with improvement to Community System. Here's the TL;DR
Character Changes

  • Over the past 16 years, many new characters have been added to the game to provide a variety of gameplay experiences. However, as this is happening, some characters have become outdated in their skill arsenals, thus, skill structural correction is required.
  • First class on the list is Asura, it's a class designed so most of the skill will hit target that's in front of the player. However, in the case of skill like Agni Pentacle and Deadly Enticer, the targets are around the player instead. So to solve this, the skill will be reanimated to hit in front of character.
  • In the case of Ground Quaker, the casting delay is long and sometimes you can't hit the target that float in midair. So it's changed to reduce casting delay and adjust the skill effect all together.
  • Second on the list is Necromancer, a class that seems to depends too much on lower level skills compared to other classes. The SP consumption for Nicholas Rapport and Vallacre the Slaughterer are decreased. In addition Black Energy Wave skill is less useful than other high level skill. It will be deleted and replaced with a new skill called "Hateful".
  • In addition to these 2 classes, they are planning to make improvement to other classes, such as Male Nen Master that was promised awhile ago. On top of that, they noted that Dragon Night skill Breath of the Storm and Secret Agent skill Shadow Step has similar cooldown problem, and adjustment will be needed.
  • Lastly, they have updated the 3rd awakening animation cut-in for some of the classes
Community System Improvements
  • The first round of community improvement was introduced in the August 19 update. At the time, it was focused on the improvement of channel chat and char retention, however, it was still shortcoming.
  • They wanted to improve it even better, and the biggest improvement will be based  on the external chat window. Before the changes, the external chat window can only moved left or right and has fixed position and size, so there was no customization function at all.
  • Therefore they added more customization to this window, including landscape mode and window size adjustment. In addition, small options like font size adjustment and deletion of chat window tab are added.
  • Finally, people commented about the block list limit, so it's planned to expand from 200 to 300.
