[DFOlmanac] Character Roles in Party

  • All 50+ classes in DFO can be divided into 3 roles in party: Dealer, Synergy, and Sader.
  • Here I'll explain what those mean, and how to tell which one is which.
Class Roles

  • Dealer: These are characters that primarily deal damage in the party. Often they can be called DPS.
  • Synergy: These classes provide synergetic effects (+34% damage) to the party. They for the most part don't do as much damage as DPS, but often time you can see synergy out-damage DPS with enough funding. These effects are often attached to a skill. So pay attention the skill's description. Here's an example of Female Nen Master's skill called Khai.
  • Sader: These are buffers. They are only 3 classes in this category: Crusader, Seraph, and Enchantress. Like all the MMORPG out there, buffer don't deal damage but rather make sure the party don't die.
Party Composition
  • A party normally composed of at least 1 sader, 1-2 synergy, and 1-2 dealer.
  • Sader is mandatory because the game designed the class in a way that they boost the party damage by a tons.
  • Synergy are generally more desired in party than DPS due the free +34% damage boost. Every party will often have at least 1 synergy.
Summary
  • DFOWiki has a great layout of which class is which. "S" means synergy, "B" means buffer, the rest are Dealers. You can also look at this Class Role excel sheet for a complete detail.
